I just found out that my DVD player is also a DVD recorder, and just as a test, I tried it out. If the quality is any better, I may start using this method. It's definitely more convenient because I can play watching my TV screen instead of watching the computer screen. I chose to convert the DVD(.VOB) file into a .WMV file. WMV files have lower quality because it's smaller and more compressed, but makes uploading it easier. I usually use .wmv files anyway, so this may not be in higher quality anyway.. But just in case my capture card breaks, I have an alternate way of uploading high quality videos to youtube.

Well, lo and behold, I got the fucker working with commentary! :^D Noptic informed me of a much easier way to record and sync commentary with the gameplay. All I have to do is record the preview windows with FRAPS, and play like I normally would. Unlike my previous combination of programs, which was Instant DVD Recorder and Goldwave (Goldwave is an audio recording program, kinda like Audacity) this allows me to sync both videos very easily instead of guessing where the commentary goes. Sony Vegas makes this process shitloads easier with the ability to do picture-in-picture. I can put one video over to the corner, then sync them PERFECTLY, trim off the ends of the video and the rest is easy. I initially tried recording with Goldwave and the game was Dead Rising. As for why I changed to Dark Sector, the answer is simple. I'm fucking amazed that I managed to find a copy of Dark Sector. :^P Anyways, enjoy. Notes: I didn't intend for this to be a two-part video, so I thought it'd be a good idea to end this video when I remembered to turn Notifications off. It worked. :^P
