
How to make and sew a fabric bunting with flags. This easy to follow video with written instructions can help you to make a lovely gift or a beautiful decoration for your home. Watch as Meg Stone shows us her technique in a how to create video that will make a wonderful bunting as a gift for children. All you'll need: Three types of fabric: I recommend two types of felt and cotton. (size depending on how many letters you will need) Ribbon 1m to 1.5m Glue (or a glue gun) Scissors Needle and Thread Step1: With a piece of paper, draw a triangle to use as a template for your bunting flags. Experiment with different sizes to get the right size for you (it's better to do this with paper than waste lovely fabric!) Step 2: Lay your template on the fabric you want to use for the back of each flag and cut around each side. You can give yourself a couple of centimetres or so as you'll be trimming the flags later to get a really crisp edge. Repeat this step until you have enough flags for your bunting. Step 2: Do the same with the fabric you would like to use on the front of each flag. Step 3: Lay the fabrics on top of each other and sew around each edge. Depending on the fabric your using, I recommend using a contrasting thread as it looks so special. Step 4: When you've sewn each flag, carefully cut along the edge of each stitch about 0.5cm outside will look great.
