Eddie Lee 1947 - 2006
Eddie Lee, age 59, of Onsted, MI, died November 13, 2006. On September 29, 1989 he married Kim D. Bauer. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the VietNam War. He was a member of Onsted American Legion Post #550. Eddie was retired from Ford Motor Company, Saline. He was an avid sports fan following, Ontsted High School sports as well as the Detroit Tigers. Eddie won a state championship in a left handed golf tournament and was a member of the Irish Hills Pool League. In addition to his wife to his wife Kim, he is survivied by 3 daughters, Tiffany (Rusty) Matheny of Hamilton, OH, Meagan Lee at home, and Carmen (Mark) Barden of Manchester; one son, Matt Williams at home; 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Michelle, Brandon, Faith, and Blake; 6 brothers, Mike (Jean) of Kalamazoo, Pat (Sandy) of Las Vegas, Tim (Ethel) of Green Springs, OH , Barry Ned of Manchester, Kurt (Carolyn) of Cheboygan, and Brian (Lori) Tecumseh, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh. Funeral services were held November 17, 2006 at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, Tecumseh,MI with Rev. Daryl Onsted officiating. Military honors will follow the service taking place at the funeral home being conducted by Onsted American Legion Post #550. A luncheon in honor of Eddie was held following the funeral at: Onsted American Legion 333 Conner Street Onsted, MI, 49286
Eddie Floyd - Knock On Wood
Eddie Floyd (born Eddie Lee Floyd, June 25, 1935, Montgomery, Alabama) is a soul/R&B singer and songwriter, best known for his work on the Stax record label in the 1960s and 1970s and the song "Knock on Wood". Floyd was born in Alabama, but grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He founded The Falcons, which also featured Mack Rice. They were forerunners to future Detroit vocal groups such as The Temptations and The Four Tops. Their most successful songs included "You're So Fine" and later, when Wilson Pickett was recruited into the group as the lead singer, "I Found a Love". Pickett then embarked on a solo career, and The Falcons disbanded. Floyd signed on with the Memphis based Stax Records as a songwriter in 1965. He wrote a hit song, "Comfort Me" recorded by Carla Thomas. He then teamed with Stax's guitarist Steve Cropper to write songs for Wilson Pickett, now signed to Atlantic Records. Atlantic distributed Stax and Jerry Wexler brought Pickett down from New York to work with Booker T. & the MGs. The Pickett sessions were successful, yielding several pop and R&B hits, including the Floyd co-written "Ninety-Nine and a Half (Won't Do)" and "634-5789 (Soulsville USA)". In 1966, Floyd recorded a song intended for Otis Redding. Wexler convinced Stax president Jim Stewart to release Floyd's version. The Steve Cropper/Eddie Floyd "Knock On Wood" launched Floyd's solo career, and has been cut by over a hundred different artists from David Bowie to Count Basie. It became a disco hit <b>...</b>

The Waiting Game
For every view this video receives, The Jubilee Project will donate 30 cents to the non-profit Liberty in North Korea. The money will be directed to an initiative called The Hundred, which seeks to rescue 100 North Korean refugees. Here's how it works: We have recruited people who are willing to donate 1 penny per view. (If you are still interested in donating, you can do so by emailing project.jubilee@gmail.com). After August 8, each sponsor will donate money based on how many views this video receives until then. So if the video receives 1500 views by August 8, they will donate $15. 'Black Lust' is a fantasy Romance/horror set in 'Kostro City' a city where only the most beautiful woman would experience 'love' and only the most powerful man would be able to afford a woman's body. Woman were seen as 'sex dolls' or 'love slaves' yet they never thought it was a problem and even found it something to be proud of or boast about. Men in Kostro City have always been the ones who controlled woman and had the higher status. The main story is taken place in a mansion used as an office/hotel owned by one of the most rich, violent and ill-minded man in Kostro City, Master Okada. He owned several women in his mansion that worked at maids and was also expected to serve him and even his guests like a king. Master Okada's Mistress (Miyabi) has become mentally ill and depressed by his sexual actions towards other woman after marriage in the Mansion. In 2004, Bishop Eddie Lee Long, pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, Georgia, gathered his New Birth Total Praise Choir and recorded their first album, "Spirit and Truth" In one of the songs, he sought the help of well-known gospel pioneer and singer, Vanessa Bell Armstrong to lead the hit song, "Suddenly." This song is Southern, with just a hint of groove that'll make you sway with the beat. I do not own this song, nor am I seeking monetary gains or publicity.
