In 2008 the tuning specialists from Ahlen laid hands on a Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 and turned into the fastest and most powerful Murciélago in the world. Back then, the edo competition team managed to extract 710 horsepower and 700 Nm (516 ft-lb) of torque from the 6.5 liter V12 engine. This car was clocked at over 352 km/h (219 mph) on the Papenburg high speed test track, a mark that remains unmatched to this day. But this was not the end of the line, as edo competition is proving with the new edo Lamborghini Murciélago LP750. A top speed of up to 365 km/h is possible. The engine's power output was increased to an impressive 750 horsepower and the torque output now stands at 740 Nm (546 ft-lb). The edo Lamborghini Murciélago LP750 hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.1 seconds, 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.7 seconds and the magical 300 km/h (186 mph) mark in 24.5 seconds. The LP640 still provides the basis for this monster. To achieve the enormous boost in power, the cylinder heads were modified and a high flow airbox was installed. The completely revised intake system for this engine features a new hand-made intake manifold as well as modified air ducts. This system helps to increase the intake air mass and velocity, an effect that becomes even more pronounced at higher speeds. Germany-based Edo Competition is more widely known for its exotic supercar transformations but this time, the tuning house set its eyes on one of the most practical high-performance vehicles in the market, the BMW M5 Touring. Called the M5 Dark Edition, the modified BMW wagon sports a tuned version of the 5.0-liter V10 that has been upgraded with a recalibrated ECU, high-flow air filters and catalytic converters as well as a newly developed high-performance exhaust system. As a result, output has been lifted from 500HP and 521 Nm (384 lb-ft) to 555-horsepower and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft), with the M5 Dark Edition completing the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in 4.2 seconds (0.5 seconds faster than the stock model) and the 100km/h -200km/h acceleration in under 10 seconds. By removing the electronic speed nanny, the M5 Touring reaches a top speed of 305km/h (190mph). The tune continues with a new aero kit comprising of a front apron with additional lights, a rear apron that makes way for bespoke exhaust tips and a roof wing. The high-performance station wagon now rides on new 20-inch alloy wheels painted in black with a sliver rim and shod in Dunlop tires size 255/35 R20 at the front and 285/30 R20 at the rear. As for the interior upgrades, Edo Competition offers a variety of solutions ranging from leather upholsteries and carbon trim parts to a new speedometer with white dials with a backlit logo.

These are the three most prominent figures of the new edo LP600/4. 600 stands for its power output, 211 for its top speed and 3.5 seconds is how long it takes to accelerate to 62 mph from a dead stop. edo Competition has managed to improve performance by increasing power output to 600 horsepower at 7970 rpm and the torque output to 422 lbs.-ft. at 6845 rpm. Another priority was to upgrade the suspension in order to improve drivability, driving dynamics and precision. edo Competition achieved this by employing a newly developed sport suspension system, which is adjustable in compression and rebound damping. This technology allows for custom suspension setups that are ideally matched to a wide range of needs. The low-friction shock absorbers and new spring rates were tested extensively on race tracks and high-speed ovals, as well as on the road, because handling is not an area for compromise. The result has to be experienced to be believed... Rounding off the sporty concept are 19 in. three-piece racing wheels with artificially aged cast center-sections, hand-polished outer rims, and 39 stainless-steel screws.
