Our first eFoods Direct order came in and pouches were leaking. This was no surprise as the seals were barely 1/16th of an inch wide. Then they send replacements for the bad ones and at least one of these pouches is leaking. Obviously a defective pouch will not be good for long term food storage. If you have purchased from eFoods Direct, check the pouches. If you have not, think twice. At this point we cannot recommend eFoods Direct as our experience has been one of poor quality.

This is an "un-boxing" and review of eFoods' Cheddar Potato Soup. As you'll see, I end up calling it broccoli cheddar for the better part of the video, oops. It turned out to be an excellent product. Mrs Rookie even gets in on the taste test! Based on this experience I will definitely be sampling some of eFoods' other offerings and potentially adding some of their products to my food storage. First off, I must say that eFoods Direct has been very responsive to this issue and seems to be genuinely interested in fixing the cause of the problem. What I think is happening is as follows: The pouches that are shipped in the green totes are able to slosh around in transport causing the powder to abrade and leverage the seals open over time. The pouches packed tighter in the smaller corugated boxes arent leaking because they arent able to move around so freely. I think that the issue would be solved by better pouch seals and dont think that the shipping containers packing methods, etc. are faulty. Other pouches that use different seal configurations (pasta, potatos, granola) arent leaking because the seals are stronger.
