Newly signed to 4AD, Efterklang make their label debut with Magic Chairs, their third full-length studio album on February 23rd 2010. Together they are performing 'Modern Drift' (opening track from Magic Chairs, 2010 4AD) on three pianos and one drum. This Modern Drift outtake can also be found in the DVD's extra material. The DVD deluxe package is limited to 5000 custom-made, eco-friendly, numbered, letterpress printed deluxe covers with a DVD disc full of bonus material and a 35 page booklet with photos and liner notes written by the band. Efterklang (the Danish word for remembrance and reverberation) is a Folktronica group formed on January 2001 in the Danish capital, Copenhagen. The group consists of five core members: Mads Brauer, Casper Clausen, Thomas Husmer, Rune Mølgaard and Rasmus Stolberg. When performing live, the core five-piece band is complemented with the addition of violinist/singer Peter Broderick, trombonist/singer Niklas Antonson, pianist/singer Anna Brønsted and guitarist/singer Frederik Teige. They have released albums on the British/American record label The Leaf Label, but also have their own record label called Rumraket (the Danish word for space rocket). So far the Rumraket roster includes Grizzly Bear, amiina, Cacoy, Erik Levander, Kama Aina, Slaraffenland, Taxi Taxi!, and Canon Blue. Efterklang has a history of working with many guest musicians on their recordings. Filmmaker Karim Ghahwagi can also be found among their key contributors, having made several visuals for their live shows from 2003 to 2005 as well as the video for "Swarming." Another key contributor is Nan Na Hvass, the mastermind behind the critically acclaimed artwork for One-Sided LP, Under Giant Trees, Parades, and the Mirador video

In March 2009 Efterklang toured the US road testing songs for their third (and now released) album Magic Chairs (Feb 22nd 2010). Danish documentarist and music journalist Ralf Christensen followed the band the last week of the tour and managed to capture the band performing their new song The Soft Beating in various ways and various and interesting places.
