This guy was so scared... his whole body was shaking as I was touching him. When I got him to his foster home, he relaxed a little bit more, and in a few days he should be great.

I just LOVE IT when the rescue community acts fast. I got an email about a female dog downtown LA who is really scared and growls when approached. A mass email was sent out, and in no time I had a rescue. I went to get the dog, and it turned to be really easy... I was expecting a chalange, but instead I got a sweet scared dog who came to me right away. Special thank you to Lucinda Inganni who told me about this dog, and to Animal Advocate Alliance who agreed to take her. I am sure she will find a great home super fast.

Delta lived at the Rialto Airport along with Bud-Bud and Queenie for a year and a half. The other day when I got Bud-Bud and Queenie she ran away, and dissapeared for three days. Today I went back to look for her, and I got her. This poor dog is so skinny, and she smelled like a dead dog. I know that she was already groomed, and I am sure she feels a thousand times better :-)

We were called on Friday night to help a woman at the desert who had at least 50 animals. A few hours later, we drove out to the desert to see what we can do. The conditions at her place were really bad. We helped clean up a little bit, we took a few dogs away, but we need to get back there and get the rest of them out of there. Booker had a really hard 10 years of life....his owner allowed all of his teeth to ROT out of his mouth. Reading through his original vet records, Booker's previous owner allowed Booker to succumb to tooth loss by having infections and head swelling until every tooth fell out. Probably about 6 years of never ending pain. Booker was a dog left to rot and a broken jaw and broken legs were left to heal on their own. He was then dumped in a shelter WITH his brother after being a pet for 10 years. He was rescued by "One Starfish re-homing" a day before he was scheduled to be euthanized -----by gas. Last weekend I had the privilege to go to New Jersey and meet him in person... what an amazing little dog and what an amazing family adopted him... he must be one of the luckiest dogs in the world.
