62nd Emmys Opening: Tina Fey, Glee cast, Jimmy Fallon, Jane Lynch
62nd Primetime Emmy Awards were opened by the Jimmy Fallon, the cast of Glee, Tina Fey and many, many more! It's awsome! Jimmy Fallon arrives to host the Emmys in a tiny tiny Smart car. He's carrying his tux and runs into the Glee folk out front. They tell him they can't afford to go to the Emmys and an intro premise is born. They'll put on a fundraiser. They run into Tina Fey. She's in! They run into Kate Gosselin. Awkward pause. They tell her they've got too many people - and then go for more people. They run into Jon Hamm practicing his dance moves with his instructor - Betty White. Then Jane Lynch (Sue Sylvester from Glee) gives them a slushie in the face -- and wants in. Walk down the hall to Springsteen's "Born to Run" with Jorge Garcia (Hurley from Lost), Joel McHale and company singing. Tim Gunn arrives to put on the finishing touches. They take the stage in "Glee" red and black gear and Jimmy takes the mike doing his best Bruce. (It's not bad.) Randy Jackson joins him to jam. Hamm and Fey ham it up dancing. Big smiles from the audience.

Jimmy Fallon's 2010 Emmys Opening with Glee
We already knew Jimmy Fallon was a not-so-secret gleek, but he even brought out the McKinley High songbirds for a huge routine for his Emmy opening! When the kids need money to get to the award show, Fallon offers to step in to help them win a singing contest, and they go on a search for members to add to their choir. The new recruits: Tina Fey, a dancing Jon Hamm, Nina Dobrev, Joel McHale, and Jorge Garcia, aka Hurley! Together, the group took the stage (with Fallon doing his best Bruce Springsteen impression), and kicked things off with a rousing, fist-pumping number.

Despite expectations that he would out-do his insult-ridden monologue from last year, this year's opening was a fairly lame affair. There were many hurt feeling after last year and it took some special diplomacy to get him to return HFPA President Takla-O'Reilly helped work through the sour feelings of some of the 83 members of her organization over last year's Gervais performance. She flew to Paris last summer to meet the comedian (who co-created the British original version of television's "The Office") and helped pave the way for his return to the Globes.

So the Emmys host Jimmy Fallon did an excellent job opening the awards show in a very entertaining way. The skit shows some of the Glee cast - we're talking Cory Monteith, Lea Michelle, Chris Colpher and Amber Riley - giving congrats to Fallon on his hosting gig while he's all happy for their Emmys nominations. The Gleeks reveal that they can't even go to the show because Emmys tickets are too expensive. Jimmy sees a post for a regional Glee club competition, conveniently paying off $1205 - the cost of the tickets! Everyone is on a mission to win, but they must get a team together... Tina Fey joins on as a leader kinda, Kate Gosselin shows up in her infamous DWTS outfit to which everyone lies to say they've got too many peeps. Betty White is just really funny and it's great when Jane Lynch slushies Jimmy then Tina, saying they better include her in the Glee group... suddenly everyone is performing as they rush through the building, on their way to the stage. There's some Nina Dobrev, Jon Hamm and Joel McHale. Plus, Tim Gunn gets in on the action, helping Project Runway Jimmy into his final Bruce Spreensteen outfit to finish up the Born To Run rendition. As expected, everyone is up on the REAL Emmys stage performing live for the night's guests. Gotta love Randy Jackson on the guitar! It was a <b>...</b>
