Sorry guys, this feature might be native to only Japanese iPhones. I mean, iPhones originally sold in Japan. Or at least when I filmed this. It seems as iOS 5 is now out, anyone can by native use emoticons like I show in this video. You can activate (if you don't know yet) what we Japanese call "emoji" and "kaomoji" on your iPhone or iPod touch. Here's the way: Open up "Settings", go to "General", "Keyboard", "International Keyboards" and "Add New Keyboard..." And now you have emoji. To use kaomoji, you need to install Japanese keyboard. Add Japanese keyboard, whichever "Japanese Romaji" and "Japanese Ten Key" is fine. Ten Key is what I use. "Romaji" version: when you are on Japanese keyboard when typing, just clik "123" button and you see ^-^ in the left next to "X (backspace)" button. "Ten Key" version: you also see ^-^. Just click on it. Good luck~.
