The Vintage Modified Superdelay is finished in stunning black with gold script writing and labeling just to make your friends jealous. Thats not the only change though. Weve had the Tape mode refined to give a more vintage feel to the repeats. When youre in Tape mode there are 3 different types; Basic, Vintage, and Old. We left the Basic mode alone but had Empress modify the Vintage and Old modes. In the Vintage Mode (remember, these are all under the Tape setting) weve added extra modulation for a rich, full sounding repeat with full frequency response. In the Old Mode weve kept the same modulation but rolled off the high end by 15% and added some grit to emulate a tape delay with worn heads, old tape, and a bit of flutter. The Last Empress
Formally Empress Xiao Ke Min she is better known as Empress Wan Rong (or Wan Jung) or Empress Elizabeth, the last Empress of China. Born in 1906 she was married to the last Emperor, Xuantong (aka "Henry" PuYi) in 1922 when the Emperor turned 16. Educated at an American missionary school it was her modernity that most attracted the Emperor. She was famous for her beauty but after the Emperor was expelled from the Forbidden City and particularly after the move to Manchuria her condition went downhill quickly. She was against the Manchukuo enterprise, suspicious of the Japanese (and thus heavily scrutinized by them) she grew more and more addicted to opium, eventually becoming a wreck. At the end of World War II she was arrested by the Reds and died in prison in 1946 from starvation and drug withdrawal.

Directed by Riccardo Freda. Wonderful pre-Hercules Peplum that's all but forgotten today. It probably came out at the wrong time as the Sword & Sandal explosion was just about to erupt in a couple of years and was made 5 years before Ben-Hur was released and featured that incredible chariot race. Well, the chariot race in Theodora (go to part 4 to see it) came first and even though it's not as humongous as the one in Ben-Hur, it's still prety cool and more so as it features a woman as a racer. The entire production is lush with great sets, costumes and cast and both stars are excellent. They were at the starting gate of a career in the Peplum genre that would last ten more years for both of them. The direction by Riccardo Freda is assured but breezy and colorful, never heavy handed like so many other (mostly Hollywood) historical films. Georges Marchal commands the screen and is remarkably comfortable in ancient Rome setting. He's definitely the best actor of the Peplum genre. That's George actually ridding the <b>...</b>

RMS Empress of Ireland, a passenger liner on route to Liverpool England with 1477 Passengers and crew, collided with the norwegian collier Storstad in a thick fog bank. Fourteen minutes later the mortally wounded Empress of Ireland plunged into the abyss taking 1012, including 314 of the 318 children onboard, to their graves. Sadly the tragedy of the Empress of Ireland would soon be overshadowed by the outbreak of World War I. I'm PGS Andy and today we're having another look at the seemingly endless tonal variations of the Empress Multidrive. This time around we'll be focusing on the Multidrive's parallel stacking possibilities, and how they might be used for sculpting tones in a live setting. The Empress Multidrive's innovative parallel design can be compared to a mixing board, where each isolated channel can be blended into the mix, or pulled out entirely, without affecting the other channels. For example, in a live setting you might have fuzz, drive, and distortion all on, and then use each channel's volume knob like a console's fader to create your "mix" of dirt sounds on the fly. Empress Menen was active in promoting women's issues in Ethiopia, was Patroness of the Ethiopian Red Cross, and the Ethiopian Women's Charitable Organization. She founded the Empress Menen School for Girls in Addis Ababa, the first all girls school which had both boarding and day students. Girls from all over the Empire were brought to the school to receive a modern education, encouraged by the Empress who visited it often and presided over its graduation ceremonies. The Empress gave generously, as well as sponsored programs for the poor, ill and disabled. She was also a devoutly religious woman who did much to support the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. She built, renovated and endowed numerous churches in Ethiopia and in the Holy Land. Here's a compilation of clips from 4 films with Empress Messalina. I love everything about Roman history and it doesn't get more historical than Messalina. Though those films are fun to watch the ultimate film on her legendary life has yet to be made. There are other films and TV series, including obligatory X-rated flicks, based on the legendary wicked Roman Empress but here are some of the most famous films. From this pack the best Messalina was played by Lisa Gastoni who is brilliantly wicked, campy and alluring. When she's on screen you can't keep your eyes off of her. One of my favorite S&S performance ever. Mexican star María Félix is also remarkable in the 1951 release, certainly during the last scene: wow! The movie itself co-stars the great Georges Marchal and some scene are absolutely stunning (the dance numbers!) but for a film about Messalina, Maria's presence is oddly limited and brief. Belinda Lee is good too in the stand-out 1960 version. She's totally evil. Maybe just a bit too evil. As for Susan Hayward, her interpretation is way too reserved and mannered. It doesn't help with awful dialogue like "when the truth is ugly, only a lie can be beautiful" Huh?!? The actress are: Messalina (1951) - María Félix, co-starring Georges Marchal.
