To drain coolant: 1. Cabin heat knob on hot, ignition key on start (engine off). Blower fan on low. 2. Remove coolant fill cap. Disconnect lower Radiator hose. Let coolant drain. 3. Remove accessories to access and remove thermostat. 4. Reassemble system and fill coolant mixture containing 50% water and 50% antifreeze. Start engine, heat on max with blower on, and keep filling coolant and squeezing hoses until coolant remains full at max mark. Parts of coolant system are: 1. Water pump 2. Thermostat 3. Radiator and Radiator Fan with Thermostatic switch 4. Hoses 5. Coolant reservoir / expansion tank 6. Pressure Cap 7. Heater Core (inside dash) 8. Antifreeze + Water = Coolant This thermostat opens at 190*F. Most Thermostats are 180 or 190*F. The Thermostat is fully open at 20*F higher than rated temperature. Every 1psi that pressure on water increases you get approximately 3*F rise in water's boiling point. Water boils at 212*F or 100*C at sea level air pressure or 0 psi gauge pressure.

The aircraft will begin ground tests July 6. Assembly was completed last month at Boeing's High Desert Assembly, Integration and Test facility at Plant 42 in Palmdale, Calif. This aircraft is the first of four Static Test Vehicles, which will be used for familiarization training and an Upload and Download Test. The X-51A SED program is intended to demonstrate air breathing hypersonic propulsion using a Pratt & Whitney Rocket dyne scramjet. The 25-foot long, 4000 pound vehicle will be carried aloft on a B-52H Stratofortress and released in the Point Mugu Sea Range. A solid rocket booster will propel it to nearly Mach 5, where the scramjet will take over and continue to propel the X-51A for another 4 minutes to nearly Mach 6. The X-51A Program Office at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Propulsion Directorate, Wright-Patterson AFB designated the Hypersonic Combined Task Force at the AFRL site at Edwards. Following the Upload and Download Test, ground tests will continue through the summer and the X-51A is scheduled to perform additional testing through winter 2010.

The mowers pull cord handle is attached to the mower handle assembly. The starter pull cord size for this engine is size 4.5, and the pull cord length is 7 feet. The length of the cord can very slightly and it depends on the stiffness of the cord. If the stiffness of the cord your using is very stiff, than it might bind a little when the cord winds into the starter assembly. If it does, than shorten the cord to 6.5 feet and try it again. Pulsejet engines actually have quite high power to weight ratios, comparable fuel consumption to RC turbines, and have few or no moving parts, meaning they cost about 1 as much as a hobby turbojet and rarely need any form of maintenance.
