Doc Matt's E60 M5
My fully loaded e60 M5 which was stolen 3 and a half weeks later. I miss it real bad. We parked up at B'ham airport UK in the NCP long stay. On our return the flight was delayed 2 hours and the car was stolen 30 mins before we touched down :-( NCP staff completley unsympathetic and would not give us a refund, we had to write to head office. Isn't it funny how in the 7 minutes it took to steal the car NCP staff just happened to leave the exit barrier up for that short period of time. bastards :-(( That car had every conceiveble optinal extra on it and was higer specced than the newly released demo car. After over a year I have searched and not been able to locate a similar car with the same extras. The Airport police who were very sympathetic told us the theives brought their own ECU with a matched key (card) they had made earlier. They lifted the bonnet, ripped out the old ECU, stuck the new one in and used their own programmed key. the tracker was blocked with a blocker bought off ebay that plugs into the cigarette lighter.
