Digital Summer - Counting The Hours
Digital Summer is an American hard rock band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2006. Digital Summer has finished working their second album called Counting the Hours which was released on February 25, 2010, but according to their Facebook page it has been pushed back to April 13, 2010 for in-store and digital releases for unknown reasons. Overview In under 2 years, Digital Summer has made their name known within both the local Arizona scene and country wide. Their first single "Whatever it Takes" was in regular rotation in several major market radio stations including: 98KUPD Phoenix, AZ[1], Rock1061 in Savannah, GA, Banana1015 MI, and Octane 20 on Sirius Satellite Radio. In addition, "Whatever it Takes" was featured as one of the "Top 4 Songs of the Day" for over six weeks straight on 98KUPD. Brothers Kyle and Ian Winterstein are also working on an experimental rock side project called "Tragedy Machine" since 2008. Loosing Cooter as the drummer, leaves Digital Summer fans in shock, and in wonderance will the band ever be the same without such a talented man.

Lothar and the hand people-space hymn
The ultimate experimental rock band of the late 60s, Lothar and the Hand People were fronted NOT by a musician, but by a musical instrument; a theremin named Lothar. The band recorded two albums, PresentingLothar and the Hand People released in 1968 and Space Hymn in 1969. One of the weirder psychedelic groups of the late '60s, the New York-based Lothar & the Hand People took special pride in augmenting many of their tunes with the theremin, a then-futuristic instrument most famous for its use in horror movies (as well as the Beach Boys' "Good Vibrations"). Playing eccentric satirical rock, good-time folk-rock, and experimental psychedelia, their material wasn't nearly strong enough to elevate them to the rank of innovators. Although their first album is their best, they are most fondly remembered for the trance-inducing "Space Hymn," an FM radio favorite for many years.

Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois. The band began as a politically charged, sometimes experimental, rock band and later moved to a predominantly softer sound, becoming famous for producing a number of hit ballads. They had a steady stream of hits throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Second only to The Beach Boys in terms of Billboard singles and albums chart success among American bands, Chicago is one of the longest running and most successful pop/rock and roll groups. Chicago re-teamed with producer Phil Ramone in October 2010 to begin work on a new album. According to Billboard, Chicago was the leading US singles charting group during the 1970s. They have sold over 38 million units in the US, with 22 gold, 18 platinum, and 8 multi-platinum albums.[5][6] Over the course of their career they have charted five No. 1 albums, and have had 21 top ten hits. The band was formed when a group of DePaul University music students who had been playing local late-night clubs recruited a couple of other students from the university and decided to meet in saxophonist Walter Parazaider's apartment. The five musicians consisted of Parazaider, guitarist Terry Kath, drummer Danny Seraphine, trombonist James Pankow, trumpet player Lee Loughnane.
