The album was released by Shark Record Germany and dedicated to the music that SLCoe most loves: METAL! It failed to reach a broader audience because of the corrupt and dishonest metal press of Rock Hard and Metal Hammer, who feature bands especially when the record companies pay accordingly for advertises, and pimpled teen "journalists" who think they can judge music of veterans who are more than 20 years on the road. After a hearing demage and not willing to deal with corruption and mendacity any more, SLCoe 2002 decided to ultimately leave the music business.

Here you'll see me a while back trying to get used to some variation of Scanner EX. Scanner Ex seems of late to be my skill of choice. In this video Im using cqc with it. As you can see, it's not as effective a combination as I'd ideally like. I especially liked the ending and thought it fitting how the co-leaders of HWDs and ESouls both killed each other simultaneiously. xD (of course, I should have known better that I couldn't hit the start button and still keep hold of my cqc victim. Con Rainald König (guitarra), Ulli Muller (teclados), Jochen Schnur (bajo) y Spoony (batería) grabaron su primer álbum "No Escape" en 1999. Con fans en Europa, el grupo saca su segundo disco en el 2000 titulado "Heart of Steel" (con el nuevo baterista Jurgen Lucas). Fue un gran éxito, especialmente en Japón. En el 2001 graban "Dragonchaser". En el año siguiente la banda cambia si compañía disquera por AFM Records, perdiendo a su bajista y teclista. Lanzan su cuarto album "Only Human", y muy pronto tocaron en una gira europea junto a Rhapsody of Fire y Angel Dust. La formación vuelve a cambiar en el 2003, y el grupo le da la bienvenida a su nuevo vocalista Mats Levén y bajista Sascha Feldmann, antes de grabar el LP "The Evil in You", que fue su álbum más vendido hasta el momento. Después del lanzamiento, hicieron una gira con Kamelot. Más tarde, Lenk, König y Feldmann remplazan al último bajista por John ABC Smith (ex-Scanner , ex-Gallows Pole). La guitarra fue tomada por Lenk y la batería por Mark Cross (ex-Helloween). Con esta formación lanzan "Chained".
