Rolls-Royce Ghost Long Wheelbase announced
China is the market for extended-wheelbase variants and Rolls-Royce has introduced the new Ghost Extended Wheelbase edition at Auto Shanghai today. The wheelbase of this stretched Ghost is 170 mm (6.7 inches) longer than on the standard model and good for twice as much knee room, says Rolls-Royce. The Ghost Extended Wheelbase will be built to order and is available only in limited numbers for this year until Rolls-Royce can ramp up production in 2012. The Rolls-Royce Ghost is powered by a 6.6 liter twin-turbo V12 with an output of 563 PS (414 kW / 555 bhp) and 780 Nm (575 lb-ft). The extended-wheelbase Ghost does the 0 to 100 km/h sprint in 5 seconds flat. "This is the first time we have undertaken a world launch of a Rolls-Royce car in China, underscoring the strategic significance of this market and the Asia Pacific region," says Rolls-Royce CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös. At the Auto Shanghai event, Rolls-Royce has also introduced several bespoke editions exclusive to the Chinese market. The Phantom Extended Wheelbase Saloon comes in a Rhapsody Black exterior with an interior finish in Ardent Red and Seashell with a Piano Black veneer. There's also a Phantom Drophead Coupé in a Maiden Blue exterior with a Navy Blue and Seashell interior complimented by Straight Grained Oak and Ebony. Rolls-Royce will present five bespoke models at Paris Motor Show. The collection includes a Phantom Extended Wheelbase in Gunmetal metallic with Sunrise leather interior and a Carrara White metallic Phantom Drophead Coupé with Hotspur Red leather interior. A Phantom Coupé and two Ghosts complete the presentation. In a continuation of the bespoke theme, Paris will also play host to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars four-person picnic set, which was designed in-house and developed on site at the Rolls-Royce plant in Goodwood, England.

The final pics are of our first trip in the van around North wales last July, You might recognise Bala Lake and Aberstwyth and the Black Mountains. I hope this is useful to you if you are thinking of doing your own van. I had never done one before and I feel pleased with my achievement this took 4 moths and cost about 4.5 thousand pounds to do.

I spotted this amazing 2012 rolls royce ghost extended wheelbase in the city of Groningen in the North of The Netherlands. The people who drove the car were photographers from Poland who had borrowed the car from Rolls Royce Britain. The Engine he engine is a bored and stroked version of BMW's N74 6.0L twin-turbocharged (twin-scroll) V12, now displacing 6.6 litres, featuring BMW's VANOS variable valve timing, high-precision direct fuel injection, and valvetronic; and generates 563 bhp (420 kW) producing 780 newton metres (580 ft·lbf) torque,[9] with ZF 8-speed automatic transmission.[10] The engine allows the Ghost to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (97 km-h) in 4.7 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km-h). This is a 1/24 scale Losi Trail Trekker rock crawler with the wheelbase extended 25 mm, Tamiya kubelwagen wheels and tires and a 2S Lipo battery. My plan is to RC convert a Tamiya kubelwagen 1/16 static model. I know that kubelwagens where never 4WD vehicles, but I wanted something that could easily maneuver on an RC tank battlefield. The tires I'm using have far less grip than any 4WD tires but I'm hoping it will still crawl along ok.
