The eye of Cthulhu is one of the weakest bosses in Terraria, as it only has 3000 health and limited boss mechanics. You will need 6 lenses to summon the eye of cthulu, and you also need to be stood next to a demon altar to craft a suspicous looking eye. The eye of cthulhu consists of two stages, Phase 1, he will charge at you periodically and deal minor damage. When he hits half health, he will enter phase 2 where he deals much more damage and charges you at a much faster rate. I recommend bringing potions and buffs to the fight, to ensure that you wont die. After 4 takes (due to audio malfunctions) I figured out what was causing the audio to screw up. TERRARIA- EYE OF CTHULHU BOSS BATTLE GUIDE This is me battling the Eye of Cthulhu, a boss in the game Terraria. I am using the War Axe of the Night, an Enchanted Boomerang, and Starfury to battle the enormous eye. It has 2 phases, the first phase it lunges at you and spawns smaller servant eyes, and the second stage (when the eye's health drops below 1200), it morphs it's eye into a jaw and lunges at you faster. It drops: Demonite Ore, Unholy Arrows, Corrupt Seeds, Coins, a Black Lens, and a Band of Starpower. All info taken from the Terraria Wiki at Terraria.wikia.com.

This is no picnic, i need a good chunk of health. To fight him, you need 10 lenses, and combine them in a demon alter to create a suspicious looking eye(thats how its called). Then, stockpile of a ton of shurikens. I though 500 was good, but i then realized that 100 is already enough. When you summon him, start spamming shurikens. Once his HP drops to 1500, he will transform into a flying eyeball with teeth(weird...). In this form,, he will do double damage, do check on your health often, and use potions instead of mushrooms. Keep spamming shurikens untill he's dead. He will drop a ton of healing hearts, and some demonite ore. Great. Gonna go build a sword.

May need to turn up the volume, Mic is quiet. Me fighting the Eye of Cthulhu. This boss is summoned when you use a suspicious eye after crafting one at a demon altar with 10 lenses that you can get off demon eyes at night time. Only use the Suspicious Eye at night-time because otherwise it is INSTANT DEATH. This boss is really not very hard and I explain a couple of the methods of defeating this boss including shurikens for people without decent weapons, and just the basic hack and slash or bow firing for people with a decent weapon. Demonite ore is dropped off this boss which is needed to make into demonite bars which you can then make into the Nightmare and Shadowscale equipment (Shadowscale armour with shadow scales dropped off of the Eater of Worlds.) Fighting the Eye of Cthulhu (with some rage). I think I got pretty lucky with my positioning. The weapon I'm using is an enchanted boomerang, but I replace that with a Ball o' Hurt and a Light's Bane after this boss kill.

To get the Phoenix Blaster you have to get a hand gun and 20 hell stone bars. I got my hand gun from the boss skeletron as a drop, the bars i made from 6 hellston ore and 2 obsidian ore (X20).

Suspicious Looking Eye can only be created by using a Demon Altar, which are found in a Corrupted Zone, caves and dungeons. I fought the Eye of Cthulhu with 2 restrictions on our fight: Sunglasses Challenge: Wear only a pair of Sunglasses, no other equips (Sunglasses give no stat boost besides making you look cool) No Potions: No recovery items can be used. Because that was ridiculously easy (Especially with my phoenix blaster), I ended up killing him 4 times for fun :D Enjoy :D Oh, and if you have an odd situation or restriction for a boss fight, feel free to leave me a comment about it and I might just try it :D
