Out and About: Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach

Join my on my walk in the fantastic and spectacular Ogwen Valley in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales on a bright and sunny spring day. Walking past Llyn Idwal, we head up the Devil's Kitchen onto the summits of Wales' 5th and 6th highest mountains, Glyder Fawr and Glyder Fach. At 1001m (3284 ft) and with some tricky footing, Glyder Fawr was a tough ascent, but was rewarded by spectacular views from the top. There were great views to the nearby mountains of Snowdon, Elidir Fawr and Y Garn, Carnedd Llewelyn and Carnedd Dafydd, and Tryfan. In addition, views were extensive to much of the rest of the rugged Welsh landscape. The air was so clear that even the Isle of Man, and the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland were just visible.
