
Playing as Spurs, i started my first game of the season (my 2nd season in charge) defending the Prem, the FA Cup and the Carling Cup (Renamed via Fm 2007 Editor). I signed a bundle of players during the break and they all helped us win the Friendly Cup. We had Arsenal 1st Game and we knew it would be a tough one. They were a lot of mind games before the match but we came out on top. Goals from David Villa, a Ronaldinho Penalty, a Gallas own goal and a late Berbatov header secured the three points; despite Arsenal pulling us back three times. Gallas put the ball in his own net after Ronaldinhos cross was saved by Lehman into Gallas. Then Julio Baptista headed the equaliser from a peach of a free-kick. David Villa scored after a swift counter by Spurs five minutes before the break to make it 2-1, but Cesc Fabregas hit an absolute beauty from 30 yards in the last minute of stoppage time to equalise seconds before the break. I changed the team and tactics at half time, bringing off David Villa who had a knock and put on Miroslav Klose up front on his own in a 4-1-3-2 custom formation. It paid off eventually, Klose being brought down by Eboue and Ronaldinho slotted home from the spot. It didn't last too long, Jose Antonio Reyes pegging back for the last time after a slick move and with five minutes to go Berbatov's header sliced through Lehmans gloves from a nice corner.
