"The FCC Song" Music Video--Song by Eric Idle--UNCENSORED

In an era after that of Monty Python, Eric Idle wrote a song ("The FCC Song"), currently hosted at pythonline.com that mocked, among other things, modern music and the language included therein, as well as the infamous organization responsible for censorship, the FCC. The publically-hosted song, ("Here's a little song I wrote the other day while I was out duck hunting with a judge... It's a new song, it's dedicated to the FCC and if they broadcast it, it will cost a quarter of a million dollars.") contains the F-Word 14 times. Mountain Top CCT created a music video around this song, with the cusswords reentered. All pictures on this video are either taken from Google Images or modified images from Google by Mountain Top CCT. Franken: FCC Net Neutrality Plan "Flawed"

US Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) is urging the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to make significant changes to its proposal on net neutrality before it takes its vote on Tuesday. Friday on the Senate floor he spoke to that issue and also asked the FCC to ensure that its vote on allowing the NBC-Comcast merger to move forward does not take place the week between Christmas and New Year's but instead during a time when Americans will have time to focus on the merger and its potential implications. "The FCC has made public its plans to act on its flawed net neutrality proposal this coming Tuesday," said Sen. Franken. "I sincerely hope that the FCC will make significant improvements before then, and that each of the Commissioners will think long and hard before they vote to approve a proposal that could actually make things worse for all Americans."

Net Neutrality for Dummies: Will the FCC control the Internet?

Al Gore says that legislation ensuring "net neutrality" is "needed for the revitalization of American democracy." Techno-vegan Moby says without it, the "egalitarian" Internet would disappear. Even Mallory from Family Ties, Justine Bateman, thinks "the freedom to access the site of any organization from Planned Parenthood to the Christian Coalition is going to end." But just what the hell is net neutrality—and is all that is good and holy about the Internet really imperiled if legislation guaranteeing it isn't passed? Network neutrality is necessary, say its supporters, to make certain that all data on the Internet is treated equally and to protect users from information discrimination on the part of Internet service providers who will slow down or even block access to certain sites. Reason.tv's Michael C. Moynihan takes a skeptical look at the growing push for net neutrality legislation and asks Peter Suderman, a Reason associate editor who is closely following proposals on the topic, why Moby and Mallory want the Federal Communication Commission, of all agencies, to regulate the Internet. Approximately 4 minutes. Written by Moynihan. Shot and edited by Dan Hayes and Meredith Bragg.

Fox Television v. FCC (2006)

2nd Circuit Court of Appeals 12/20/2006, C-SPAN Program ID: 195903-1 From C-SPAN's Description: Oral arguments were heard by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals in the case of Fox Television v. Federal Communications Commission. Fox Television was challenging the FCC's indecency standards and the way it punished broadcasters for airing shows that contain profanity. The network argued that the government violated the First Amendment by embarking on a "radical reinterpretation and expansion" of its power to punish broadcasters for indecent speech. The network contended that the FCC sharply changed its standards for profanity, that the standards were vague and made little sense in the face of industry changes. The FCC fined Fox for language used by Cher and Nicole Richie on the live broadcasts of the 2002 and 2003 Billboard Music Awards, respectively. Language used may offend some viewers.
Samsung Focus S Approved By FCC, Mango a Week Away & Dell Leaving Windows Phone? WPV

Why WP7 Doesn't Support Dual-Core: bit.ly Watch this week's Windows Phone view as we wrap-up all this week's good and bad inside the world of Microsoft's Windows Phone platform. In today's show we begin by talking about the recent confirmation we received from the Windows Phone blog regarding Mango and it's release date within either next week or the following. We also go through the Samsung Focus S and how it already received FCC approval. We talk about the reasons why Windows Phone 7 doesn't support dual-core processors, and why that's still not an issue any of us should worry about. We breeze through Windows 8 and how it seems to support more than the Metro UI with a phone call feature, and details on when we might get the WhatsApp messenger many of us have been waiting for. We end the Good section by going through some recent awards that Windows Phone 7 has received thanks to its innovative design. In the bad section we cover the sad news about Dell probably dropping Windows Phone 7 in the future, and why we think the rumors hold water. All this and more after the break. 3 Reasons the FCC Shouldn't "Touch" the Internets

Last spring, Reason.tv released this video after the Federal Communication Commission chairman Julius Genachowski announced his agency's attention to use a "light touch" approach to the Internet. As the FCC pushes ahead with Net Neutrality rules that would regulate many aspects of the Internet, such a move deserves closer and closer scrutiny. We're happy to re-release this video, which originally went live June 18, 2010. From the original writeup: The FCC has just taken initial steps to regulate the Internet service providers the same way it regulates telephone companies. Although Chairman Julius Genachowski has said he would use any regulatory powers with a "light touch," having the FCC control any aspect of the Internet is a really bad idea for at least three reasons.Written and produced by Meredith Bragg and Nick Gillespie (who also hosts). Approximately 2.15 minutes. Go to reason.tv for downloadable versions of all our videos. Subscribe to Reason.tv's YouTube channel for automatic notification when new material goes live.

FCC Push to Sovietize Broadcast Media in America!!

Kurt Nimmo www.infowars.com www.prisonplanet.tv December 7, 2010 Back in June, we reported on a plan by the FCC and the feds to regulate content on the internet. Since that time, the agency that controls the broadcast communications medium "in the public interest" has proposed a scheme to regulate content sent out over the airwaves. FCC bureaucrat Copps tells BBC "American media has a bad case of substance abuse." Last week FCC Commissioner Michael Copps suggested broadcasters be subject to a new "public values test" every four years. Copps said that the test would make a broadcaster's license renewal contingent upon evidence that they meet a prospective set of federal criteria. Broadcasters would have to prove to the FCC and the government they have made a meaningful commitment to public affairs and news programming (as determined by the government). They would have to prove they are committed to diversity programming, report to the government about which shows they plan to air, require greater disclosure about who funds political ads and devote 25 percent of their prime-time coverage to local news, according to a story posted by The Hill. In short, the FCC is moving toward a state-run media no different than the one in the Soviet Union and any number of crackpot dictatorships around the world. Rep. Joe Barton of Texas asked Copps whether "five commissioners can do a better job of ensuring that Americans have access to a wide diversity of content and viewpoints than <b>...</b>

Flying Cunts of Chaos (FCC) - Daysheet Blues

This is the first single of the FCC (serj tankian's back up band)! Its pretty weird but its sounds awesome! Some info about FCC The FCC (Flying Cunts of Chaos) originally started as the backing band for Serj Tankian in support for his debut solo album, Elect the Dead. However, this came to an end as of 2009, and it was also announced that The FCC would be writing their own album. The FCC began touring with Serj Tankian after the release of his debut solo album, Elect the Dead, in late 2007. The band performed its first show with Tankian, about 1000 people attending, at the Vic Theater, a medium sized venue, in Chicago on October 12, 2007. Tankian and The FCC toured for the following year in support of Elect the Dead, playing a supporting tour with Foo Fighters, a headlining tour with Fair to Midland, as well as various festivals including Coachella, Big Day Out, and others. In January 2009, Tankian announced that 2009 would be the last year that The FCC would be his backing band. Through blogs and bulletins on both the Serjical Strike Records and his own personal MySpace, Tankian announced that The FCC will be writing their own record in the near future. All five members of The FCC will be collaborating together to write original music and Tankian, himself, may also appear on a track. However, it will not be a "Serj Tankian & The FCC" album. Due to the fact that the aforementioned blogs and bulletins were also posted on the Serjical Strike Records MySpace, the album may <b>...</b>
