Jap, a decade younger than Emelianenko, won a judo gold metal in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Before that, he won the All-Japan Judo Championship. Emelianenko, aside from his MMA accomplishments, is a world Sambo champion and a high-ranking Judo practitioner in Russia. Fedor has indeed lost three fights recently (against Fabricio Werdum, Antonio Silva and Dan Henderson).

As Werdum and I entered the elevator and went up 1 floor, Fedor and his entire entourage and team got in on the very next floor. It was just some what of an uncomfortable and awkward silent moment for a second.
