Chris Feinstein was a friend of mine. He recently died. He was one of the finest people and musicians I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. In fact, he's one of my favorite people in the world. This recording is the first time Chris and I played together. Chris was my favorite Bass player. I loved his singing voice as well, so that's why he's singing with me on the chorus. I'm gonna miss Chris. The pictures were taken in 1999 in New Orleans at Kingsway Studios when we were making my second record. We put a lot of heart into a record that hardly anybody heard. But Chris in many ways was the center of that heart regardless of success or failure. He was one of the most natural and soulfully committed musicians and people I've ever come across. Funny, honest and incredibly talented, Chris will be missed. But I'm just happy to say we traveled on a handful of trains together.
