Another thing to file under "otherwise pointless waste of time but done mainly for fun and practice"... Those so-called "Fenslerfilm" GIJoe clips wandering hilariously on the Internet? Imagine watching them on your TV set, with DVD-quality video. That's what I've done as a personal editing project. The old, horribly encoded clips are all "remastered," using footage of the original PSAs available on DVD. This clip is a collection of highlights, with examples of reversed footage, quick cuts and virtually exact duplications of the original special effects (even the "'fire man' zapping the two kids", high-quality and seemingly intact), not to mention (because I'm too much of a geek) a fully authored DVD complete with main menus, chapters and background music I whipped up.
