This is a compilation video I put together to show students in my firearms classes. NONE of these video clips are mine, all credit goes to the original owners. They were pilfered from individual videos and other compilations. Shown are negligent discharges, improper equipment checks and uses, improper attire and using a firearm that the person is incapable to use or unfamiliar with. The intent of this compilation is to be able to show students some relative examples while discussing firearm safety and responsibility. Some of the clips have been included specifically to spark or demonstrate instruction in particular areas of safety, sometimes through exaggeration. Since these clips are not my own, I felt it was only proper to share them back out through youtube for others to be able to use them as I am intending to use them.

Jack Mohr was born in Chicago, IL., January 1st, 1916, the first baby born in Chicago that year. He was raised on a farm in Central Michigan, and entered the Army as an enlisted man during the early days of World War II. He served with distinction in World War II and Korea, Holding every Combat Infantry leadership position from PFC, to Company Commander. He retired in 1964 as a Lieutenant Colonel. While working with the Korean Military Advisory Group in prewar Korea, he was captured during an abortive coup attempt against the government of president Sigmun Rhee in November 1948. Paint is a quick way to get the color you want on your gun and lots of troops just shoot their gun with some Krylon and call it good. But it's not durable and most paints wear quickly. Enter DuraCoat by Lauer Weaponry in Wisconsin. They make a huge variety of durable epoxy finishes for guns that promise to wear extremely well. Moreover YOU, yes YOU, can even apply it. This is a quick video showing my application of "Stone" color DuraCoat to a Remington 700P .300WM rifle after appropriate preparation. The DuraCoat "Level II Starter Kit" includes an airbrush, air hose and couplings, 15 oz propellant can (which didn't work well for me... had to use hobby air compressor for good results), mixing bottle, color bottle, mask, gloves, measuring spoons, 2 oz reducer, 1 oz TruLube (not used), and good instructions. Surface preparation is the most time consuming task; you'll need to rough up smooth surfaces for preparation (Lauer also sells metal prep liquids which I feel are unnecessary). Make sure you do this in a ventilated area as shown. Results are impressive and I suspect I will be using their camo stencil kits in the future. Downsides are more expense (but much cheaper than other finishes like Robar's NP3), more work than painting and it might be hard to relate the catalog color to your desired shade (mine was lighter than depicted)./////////////Nutnfancy Initial Likeability Scale: 9 out of 10

A Quick walk around the Akdal MKA 1919 semi-automatic shotgun is the new product from Turkish company Akdal Arms. This weapon is intended for civilian and security use, and mimics the famous M16 rifle in its layout and placement of most controls. It is remarkably light for its caliber and size, because of extensive use of modern, high strength plastics. Akdal MKA 1919 semi-automatic shotgun utilizes conventional gas-operated action with annual (ring-type) gas piston, which is located around the support tube that runs below the barrel. Return spring is also located around the same tube, which is concealed by enlarged polymer handguards. Barrel is quick-removable from upper receiver, barrel locking is achieved by tilting locking piece inside the bolt, which engages the barrel extension. After practicing the CAR system with airsoft and seeing that there are a lot of benefits to this system, I decided to take the family out and teach what I know of the CAR system (very little so mistakes probably have been made). The intended audience for this video is people who do not already own or have experience with fire arms but who want to begin to prepare for WROL. I would never recommend someone buy an AK or AR as their first firearm, even though both the AK and AR are ideal WROL platforms. The simple fact is that a 22lr is a great, inexpensive, way to get into the firearms arena and allow beginners to learn quickly with out a lot of expense. This is one of the reasons why I recommended new buyers stay away from handguns to start with. Handguns are great weapons but they tend to take more focus to be safe with. Not ideal for new shooters. I'm not saying you should plan on using a .22lr in WROL. Buy firearms that are in your skill level. I hope that clarifies the intent of this video. Video Descriptions WROL home defensive preparation can be overwhelming for those new to preparing. This video discusses three basic tools for home defense and security. First the semiautomatic .22lr rifle is a great option for learning on the cheap and developing an initial ammunition supply. Next shotguns add stopping power to your tool kit. Finally a semi auto handgun can add versatility and backup potential. However the handgun should be viewed as a secondary weapon and probably not be your first gun.
