Evergreen Airlines Boeing 747 Fire Plane Supertanker VLAT

Courtesy Evergreen International Aviation www.evergreenaviation.com The Evergreen Supertanker showed impressive results during the US Forest Service administered grid tests earlier this year. From high, medium and low coverage levels, the Supertanker showed it provides quality, consistent retardant line construction. The cutting-edge aircraft proved it belongs on the front line, from the onset, to fight wildfire day and night. The uniformed pattern of the Supertanker drops, and its ability, in a single flight, for split loads at multiple coverage levels, gives agencies an incredibly versatile firefighting tool. The multi-role B747 Supertanker is the largest tanker aircraft available today. With a payload of more than 20000 gallons and a response time of 600 mph, it has more than eight times the drop capability and twice the speed of any other federal air tanker currently fighting fires. The Supertankers patented pressurized system has the capability to disperse product at high pressure for an overwhelming response, or disperse at the speed of falling rain in a single or several segmented drops. This pressurized system will also allow for drops at higher altitudes, creating a significant safety buffer and enabling the Supertanker to fight fires during the day and at night, when they are most vulnerable. It also offers a significant value for American taxpayers; saving homes, natural resources, and most importantly, lives. When employed properly, the Supertanker has the ...

United Breaks Guitars

Visit www.UnitedBreaksGuitars.com for case studies and highlights from Dave's speaking tour. There is now a video response www.youtube.com Full Story: www.davecarrollmusic.com - In the spring of 2008, Sons of Maxwell were traveling to Nebraska for a one-week tour and my Taylor guitar was witnessed being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers in Chicago. I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didnt deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss. So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. United: Song 1 is the first of those songs. United: Song 2 has been written and video production is underway. United: Song 3 is coming. I promise. Follow me at twitter.com . A flight aboard the DoX - 1930

Perhaps the most dramatic flying boat ever built was the giant Dornier Do X. Conceived by Dr. Claudius Dornier, the Do X design took seven years to complete and two years to build. The giant flying boat was finally launched on July 12th 1929. Financed by the German transport ministry, the plane was built on the Swiss portion of Altenrhein in order to avoid the Allied Commission. When complete, the Do X was the largest, heaviest and most powerful aircraft in the world. On October 21st, the plane took off carrying 169 people consisting of 150 passengers, 10 crew and 9 stowaways, easily breaking the world record for the number of people aboard a flight. A record that would not be tested for 15 years. Weighing 48 tons, the plane taxied for 50 seconds before slowly ascending to only 650 feet. It flew for 40 minutes at a maximum speed of 105 mph finally landing on Lake Constance. The luxurious accommodations and service on the Do X were in keeping with the standards of transatlantic liners. Several cabins on the main deck held passengers comfortably on 32 double seats and two single seats, while the cockpit, captain's cabin, navigational office, engine control room and radio office could be found on the upper deck along with quarters for the 14 man crew. The lower deck held fuel and stores. The plane was enormous with a wingspan of 157 feet 5 inches, a length of 134 feet 2 inches and a height of 33 feet. As a result of the massiveness of the plane, passengers were asked to ...

The Story of Stars and Stripes Honor Flight - Documentary Trailer

Help us get 200k views by Memorial Day. Click here: media.causes.com Then use the "Send to Friends" feature. We are free today because of these men and women. The least we can do is watch a web video and send it to our Facebook friends. ............................... Every day, 1000 World War II veterans die. Our mission, Operation Resolve, is simple: send every living World War II veteran to the stunning memorial created in their name in Washington, DC, before it's too late. To help make that happen and to tell the remarkable stories of these heroes, Stars and Stripes Honor Flight teamed up with Freethink Media to produce a feature length documentary film to be released in November 2011. Shooting for over a year and a half, filmmaker Dan Hayes and his team have captured extremely profound scenes with the vets and their volunteers, intensely emotional interviews, and breathtaking shots of the Honor Flight trip to DC. You'll be inspired, both happy and sad, and left reflecting on what gratitude, freedom and the trip's slogan, "Every day is a bonus," really mean. It's typical for a vet who takes the trip to rank it among their top life experiences, just behind their wedding and the birth of their children. For us to help provide that for them, is nothing short of remarkable. Now, you can help. Please send this trailer to your friends and family. US Air Flight 1549 Cockpit To Ground Audio: 'We're Going to Be in the Hudson'

The FAA has released the audio tapes and transcripts of the radio communications between Flight 1549, the US Airways jet that crash-landed in the Hudson River on Jan. 15, and the various air traffic controllers in the area on the afternoon of the accident. The tapes are dramatic, providing a moment by moment account of the flights communications from the time it suffered a double bird strike to the time it glided down without engine power onto the chilly surface of the Hudson River just off Manhattans West Side. At 3:27:32 pm, a scant 2 minutes and 32 seconds after the flight was cleared for takeoff by the tower at LaGuardia, Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger III alerted air traffic control of trouble. In a deep, calm voice, Captain Sullenberger said, Ah, this is, uh, Cactus 1539. Hit birds. We lost thrust in both engines. Were turning back towards La Guardia. His cadence is brisk, in the clipped syntax that is normal for communications between cockpits and controllers. If there was a sign of stress, it was that the captain had fumbled his call sign; Cactus is the correct sign for US Airways, but he was Flight 1549, not 1539 or 1529, as the flight was occasionally called, incorrectly, at various points in the tape. The controller replied instantly, OK, yeah, you need to return to La Guardia, turn left, heading of, uh, 220, that is, further to the left. Captain Sullenberger acknowledged, and the controller, in a windowless radar room at the New York Terminal Radar Approach ...

Jetman Grand Canyon Flight, Yves Rossy

"This is the most challenging place I could fly," the Jetman, Yves Rossy, told reporters. Rossy's flight was his first in the US and potentially his most difficult. Previous over-water flights across the English Channel and Strait of Gibraltar provided the option of a water landing -- an option Rossy chose when en-route weather reduced safety margins during the Gibraltar run. The canyon offered far fewer options for a safe landing in the event of an emergency and its sharp corners and steep walls increased the likelihood of turbulence.

Flight Demo of Genuine Japanese Zero with ORIGINAL WWII Sakae 31 Engine !

I just can't get enough of this aircraft, the only operational, original WWII Japanese aircraft in the world today ! This is the ONLY WWII Japanese aircraft that is flyable today with an original Japanese WWII engine, the Mitsubishi Sakae 14-cylinder, Model 31 "Prosperity". A very, very unique and historic sound ! This is the sound of history and it is very likely that this is the ONLY original WWII Japanese aircraft engine that any of us will ever to be able to hear in person. Of course, this A6M5 Zero is owned by the Planes of Fame Museum located in Chino, California. In the late 1970s, this aircraft was restored to flying staus. The engine was restored by the Stewart-Davis Company in Long Beach, California. Stewart-Davis (no longer in business) had a very good reputation for rebuilding radial engines and, according to Ed Maloney (the founder of the Planes of Fame Museum), Stewart-Davis took on the challenge of rebuilding this essentially one-of-a-kind engine and delivered a zero-time powerplant with no issues at all. Over 30 years later, this engine (on the original rebuild) is still going strong. This aircraft was built by Nakajima under license from Mitsubishi in May 1943 and was later captured by US Marines on Saipan in June 1944. It was then shipped to Patuxent River, Maryland in the US for evaluation. About 190 hours of flight time were logged during this evaluation, including some hours by Charles Lindbergh himself. After being declared surplus following the war ...

B-24 Liberator Flight Demo... Inside and Out !

Here's my compilation of video from my flights in the Collings Foundation B-24J Liberator. Those flights were soooo much fun you would hardly believe it ! You need to go for a ride on all their aircraft but as far as the bombers, the B-24 is definitely the most interesting from the historical standpoint as far as I am concerned (and also the loudest !). The aircraft is flown with the waist gunner panels wide open to the elements (unlike the waist gunner positions on the B-17 and B-25 which are enclosed with Plexiglass [historically correct}). There is also a WHOLE lot of wind blowing through that B-24 fuselage, quite unlike the B-17 and B-25. Enjoy the video ! For the ULTIMATE thrill, take a flight in the Collings Foundation P-51C dual-control Mustang where (depending on your experience and ability), you can actually take control of the aircraft for the majority of your flight. Simply unbelievable and a dream come true ! I've done it twice (see my other videos). Thanks !

(With Annotations) www.youtube.com - Boeing 777-300. In-flight Economy experience Dubai to New York JFK on Emirates The flight takes off at 02:00 but was delayed by an hour or so. If you look up the stats in this flight, its always delayed. I presume its because there are so many Emirates flights flying in to connect passengers to JFK, maybe they try and delay the flight so as not leave anyone out (if possible). The duration of this flight is appox 12:30 hours. Sometimes with headwind it ticks towards 13 hours. The timing is pretty good. takes off at 2 in the morning. This video shows the taxi and take-off. You will also notice a 380 push-back. Once airborn i took a 5 and half hour nap (as you will see in the vid). Someone on the flight fell ill - and you'll also notice the crew trying to do "something" i am not sure what that orange box had inside. Antique Cox Control Line Plane's History and flights by NightFlyyer.

Can you watch all the way? If not, don't try flying dizzying U-Control. What you see is exacly what I saw! My friend Larry at the Roller Skating Rink asked me if I wanted some old Cox airplanes. Of course I said yes. This video shows what is like to stand in the middle of the circle on only 25 foot strings and spin. Using 2 cameras, you will see the perspective and hear the engine noise. Ending with a Modern twist, I hope you enjoy this piece of Model Airplane Nostalgia. Cox Models, a former division of Estes Industries of Penrose, Colorado, was a multimillion-dollar hobby company, was one of the hobby industry's oldest companies, and is noted for its production of miniature model internal-combustion engines. This company, originally named "The LM Cox Manufacturing Co, Inc.," was founded in 1945 by the machinist Roy Cox in Placentia, California. Cox grew up in and around his father's bicycle shop, and developed an interest in mechanical devices. Cox's first products were wooden pop guns, produced in his home garage. Cox chose wood for his basic material, since metal was scarce during WW II. When metals became readily available in the United States in 1947, Cox turned his attention to new products, beginning with a diecast metal car. This product was developed into a "whip car", a tethered vehicle which could be manually swung in a circle at high speed. The Last Flight to Kuwait - Part 10 of 10

This is the chilling and untold true story of the British, French, German and North American victims of an alleged MI6/Special Forces mission that used a British Airways civilian flight, as a Trojan Horse on the eve of the first Gulf War on August 1st 1990. The covert mission was an extraordinary gamble that went badly wrong, delivering 367 passengers into the hands of Saddam's Republican Guard. When the passengers and crew of British Airways flight 149 touched down in Kuwait City en route from Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur in the early hours of August 2nd 1990, their lives would never be the same again. Within hours they became hostages of Saddam Hussein's invading Iraqi army and were detained for months in horrific conditions as part of Saddam's "human shield" programme. Some were released and reunited with their families, through the humanitarian missions of Jesse Jackson and former Prime Minister Edward Heath, but others remained captive for nearly five months. Many of the passengers have never overcome the trauma of their experience. Several have committed suicide; many have split from their partners and, a decade and a half later, all still live in the shadow of their ordeal. This is their story.

Financial Terrorism: TSA Holds Texas Flights Hostage! - Alex Jones Tv 1/3

Paul Joseph Watson www.infowars.com www.prisonplanet.tv www.infowars.net www.prisonplanet.com May 25, 2011 DOJ resorts to economic terrorism, lawmaker compares fight to revolutionary war against Mexico An astounding Department of Justice threat to cancel airline flights to and from Texas, in addition to underhanded lobbying by TSA representatives, has killed efforts in the state to pass HB 1937, a bill that would have made invasive pat downs by TSA agents a felony. HB 1937, a bill that would have made it "A criminal act for security personnel to touch a person's private areas without probable cause as a condition of travel or as a condition of entry into a public place," was headed for an imminent Senate vote in Texas having already passed the House unanimously 138-0, before the federal government stepped in to nix the legislation. In a letter sent to Texas lawmakers, including to Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, Speaker Joe Straus, the House Clerk, and the Senate Secretary, US Attorney John E. Murphy threatened to cripple the airline industry in the state if legislators did not back down. "If HR [sic] 1937 were enacted, the federal government would likely seek an emergency stay of the statute," Murphy wrote. "Unless or until such a stay were granted, TSA would likely be required to cancel any flight or series of flights for which it could not ensure the safety of passengers and crew." SpaceShip One X-Prize Flight #1 Launch Mike Melvill

SpaceShipOne launches from White Knight carrier airplane on the first of two X-Prize winning flights in 2004. Flight 16P of SpaceShipOne was a spaceflight in the Tier One program that took place on September 29, 2004. It was the first competitive flight in the Ansari X PRIZE competition to demonstrate a non-governmental reusable manned spacecraft, and is hence also referred to as the X1 flight. A serious roll excursion occurred during boost, so the flight did not achieve the expected altitude. However, it exceeded 100 km altitude, making it a successful X PRIZE flight. After takeoff, White Knight and SpaceShipOne ascended to the launch altitude, planned to be around 14 km. At 08:09 SpaceShipOne was released, glided for 6 s, then went into nose-up attitude and the rocket motor was ignited. The rocket motor was capable of burning for approximately 87 s, having been upgraded since the previous flight. It was planned to shut off the motor at an altitude of 345000 feet (105 km), presumably to avoid pushing the envelope too far. The spacecraft started rolling rapidly 50 s into the burn, while travelling at Mach 2.7. This was probably due to, or at least exacerbated by, pilot error. The pilot was not highly concerned by this, being confident that he could correct the situation, and he allowed the burn to continue during the roll. He later said "I thought it was kind of cool". The apogee altitude was estimated by the nearby Edwards Air Force Base, based on radar data, to be ...
