Speak Fluent Japanese? - Zeplin in Tokyo #70

Speak Fluent Japanese? In response to a video made by thejapanchanneldcom about speaking fluently in Japanese and other languages. The definition of "fluent" by oxford dictionary: able to express oneself easily and articulately. able to speak or write a particular foreign language easily and accurately. (of a foreign language) spoken accurately and with facility. The definition of fluent by dictionary.com: spoken or written with ease. able to speak or write smoothly, easily, or readily. I'd also like to add, that personally I feel that the level "fluent" and "native" are not quite the same. Close, but not quite. Fluent is practically native, and you can get around in every day life communicating just as anyone else. Native level is when you also get all the small words, that are only used once every couple of years, words that are far from daily use. I agree with thejapanchanneldcom that how fast you become fluent in a language depends on each individual, much like how fast you can learn an instrument. However, I do not agree that achieving fluency is practically impossible. I myself am fluent in Danish, my mother tongue, but also English, my second language. Native level? Not quite, but close. My accent is also perfectly fit for English. Clearly, I am not some unique snowflake in the world with amazing language skills, so obviously I disagree that becoming fluent in Japanese, or any language, is practically impossible.General info: My channel, TokyoZeplin, focuses on my ...

Playbooks Reader's Theater for Building Reading Fluency

Only the patented Playbook(r) format provides an enhanced form of Readers' Theater with dialogue for each story character presented in a different color and, more importantly at different reading levels. The colorized text gives students a sense of security and ownership of their role, but does not represent a certain reading level, so students are not aware that certain roles are easier or harder than others. The multi-leveled Playbook format allows the teacher to privately assign easier roles to younger or struggling readers yet group these students with older or higher level readers to bring a story to life together. Because children have a higher listening comprehension than their reading comprehension, their reading skills grow when listening to richer vocabulary being read fluently. Every student reading at his or her own ability level creates confidence, enthusiasm, rapid reading growth and improved comprehension, even for fluent readers. Instead of just reading fast and accurately, these readers learn to project inflexion and meaning from watching struggling readers who seem to have a better aptitude for creative and dramatic expression.

Education Example: Running Record/ Fluency Test

In this example, the diagnostician printed the fluency passage onto dot paper so that the students actual reading of the passage could be captured. Using this method of capture, not only do you provide a means of checking accuracy of response, but also you also can allow the student to participate in self monitoring of reading fluency. You are also able to archive the reading to maintain a record of the students progress.

Through the years, the method has proven to reduce stuttering by up to 90%; this means that your speech will become considerably more fluent, up to the point that a person who haven't heard you before will not be able to tell that you've been stuttering. __________________________________________________________ ..Would you like to get rid of stuttering, but no method has been able to help? ..You don't even believe it is possible at all? ..Then you've come to the right place. My name is Edward Thompson. I'm not a magician, not a "guru", not a psychic nor a healer in twelfth generation. Most of my life I struggled with stuttering, and the biggest dream was to get rid of it once and for all. To be honest, I had no idea what it feels like...to talk without stuttering? From the vast sea of information on this topic I have been able to formulate a method that is fundamentally different from those currently used to treat stuttering. Not only have I cured my stuttering - I have also formalized my findings into a unique and transferable method which you can use for a more rapid normalization of speech. Tip 02 - 5 Tips to Speak English Fluently & Confidently

5 English Speaking Rules : www.letstalk.co.in 2. Learn and study phrases Many students learn vocabulary and try to put many words together to create a proper sentence. It amazes me how many words some of my students know, but they cannot create a proper sentence. The reason is because they didn't study phrases. When children learn a language, they learn both words and phrases together. Likewise, you need to study and learn phrases. If you know 1000 words, you might not be able to say one correct sentence. But if you know 1 phrase, you can make hundreds of correct sentences. If you know 100 phrases, you will be surprised at how many correct sentences you will be able to say. Finally, when you know only a 1000 phrases, you will be almost a fluent English speaker. 5 Tips to Speak English Fluently & Confidently
