Everybody flies." Kelly Smith belongs to the third generation of Smith family pilots. Kelly is the oldest of three sisters. She flies the C-130 Hercules transport aircraft for the Air Force. Courtesy NTSB This animation depicts the flight path of US Airways Flight 1549 in Weehawken, New Jersey, on January 15, 2009. The animation begins after the airplanes takeoff from La Guardia Airport at 3:26:50 PM EST and ends with the water landing in the Hudson River. Flight data recorder and radar flight path information is displayed on a satellite photo illustration of the area. Near the end of the flight, the animation transitions to surveillance video from Pier 88, which captured the landing. Selected comments from the cockpit voice recorder transcript are displayed as text. The animation audio consists of portions of the recorded air traffic control communications. The airplanes speed, altitude, and local time are displayed in the lower portion of the screen.

Air Crash Investigation - Crashed And Missing / Doomed to Fail / The Final Blow (S09E07)
Air Inter Flight 148 was a scheduled airline flight on 20 January 1992 that crashed in the Vosges Mountains, near Mont Sainte-Odile, while circling to land at Strasbourg Airport. 87 of the 96 onboard were killed. Flight 148, commanded by Captain Christian Hecquet and First Officer Joël Cherubin, departed Satolas Airport (now known as Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport) in Lyon, France. While being vectored for a VOR DME Approach to Runway 05 at Strasbourg, it crashed at 19:20:33 CET (18:20:33 UTC) in the mountains at an altitude of 2620 feet (800 m). The pilots had no warning of the imminent impact because Air Inter had not equipped its aircraft with ground proximity warning systems (GPWS). This was because Air Inter -- facing ferocious competition from France's TGV high-speed trains -- encouraged its pilots to fly fast at low level (up to 350 knots below 10000 feet, while other airlines generally do not exceed 250 knots), and GPWS systems gave too many nuisance warnings. Flight 148 was the third in a series of crashes caused at least in part by what was believed to be pilots' unfamiliarity with the sophisticated computer system of the Airbus A320. The Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation Civile (BEA) believe that Flight 148 crashed because the pilots inadvertently left the autopilot set in Vertical Speed mode (instead of Flight Path Angle mode) then entered "33" for "3.3° descent angle", which the autopilot interpreted as a descent rate of 3300 feet <b>...</b>

TheAirbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine airliner manufactured by the European corporation Airbus, a subsidiary of EADS. The largest passenger airliner in the world, the A380 made its maiden flight on 27 April 2005 from Toulouse, France, and made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney with Singapore Airlines. The aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX during much of its development phase, but the nickname Superjumbo has since become associated with it. The A380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage, and its width is equivalent to that of a widebody aircraft. This allows for a cabin with 50% more floor space than the next-largest airliner, the Boeing 747-400, and provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in all-economy class configurations. For some reason the Vimeo version of this is more linked to vimeo.com Shot with a 5d2, a time-lapse controller, and a 16mm - 35mm, mixed with some iPhone shots. The flight path from SF to Paris goes well over greenland and the arctic circle, where you can see "northern" lights from all sides of the plane, which explains why I could shoot them facing South. Big thanks to the folks at uxlondon.com for inviting me to europe to speak - if it wasn't for them I wouldn't have made the trip. And for how this song relates to Witchblade I'm gonna quote from my friend who recommended I do it in the first place lol (hope you don't mind) "The song reflects the conflict Masane struggles with due to her obligations to, and love for, Rihoko and the path that the Witchblade is taking her down. She hates what the blade is doing to her, taking her away from Rihoko. She hates that she's out fighting and keeping it a secret from Rihoko, and later that she's doing battle while Rihoko is home worrying about her. She also struggles with the knowledge that the Witchblade will eventually destroy her, leaving Rihoko alone. But then, towards the end, she gains new incentive to hold onto the blade and follow that course down to the end when she discovers that the blade really wants Rihoko once it's off her. Branson Tornado Path 3D Flyover Tour
I created this movie using information published by the National Weather Service in Springfield, MO about the February 29, 2012 Kimberling City - Branson - Kissee Mills Tornado. The resulting kmz file produced by the National Weather Service was used to render a 3D flyover using Google Earth. All video clips were shot by me the afternoon following the tornado. Background music is credited to: Longzijun, and it is used by permission with proper aforementioned credit. According to the National Weather Service in Springfield, MO, this tornado traveled about 22 miles. It ranged in intensity of a high EF-1 to a low EF-2. It traveled at speeds of around 60 to 70 miles per hour completing the 22-mile journey in about 19 minutes. The tornado appears to have organized over the waters of Table Rock Lake to the west of Kimberling City, MO. It then moved onshore near Joe Bald Road and then continued eastbound eventually striking the heart of Branson just a few minutes later. The tornado was approximately 400 yards wide - or about 4 football fields! Many injuries were reported. There were no fatalities. If this tornado hit during the busy tourist season in Branson, those statistics would probably be very different. Paul Mantz "Flight of the Phoenix" accident
Born in Alameda, California, on August 8th, 1903, Paul Mantz first learned to fly when he was 17. After spending several years barnstorming, and washing out of Army Flight School in 1927 for buzzing a railroad car filled with officers, Mantz returned to California and started his own charter air service. He eventually moved into movie stunt flying. He really became noticed by Hollywood were he flew as a stunt pilot for the Howard Hughes war epic, "Hell's Angels". Although Mantz performed many aerial stunts, he specialized in flying through buildings. In the 1932 movie "Air Mail", he guided a Stearman plane through a 45-foot-wide aircraft. He developed a number of camera and aeronautical innovations to improve aerial photography, and continued as a stunt flyer (he once flew under the Golden Gate Bridge for the movie "This is Cinerama"), a director of aerial photography, and a supplier of aircraft and pilots for the movies for two decades after the war. He formed a company, with legendary pilot Frank Tallman, named Tallmantz Aviation in 1961 based at Orange County Airport (now John Wayne Airport) in Southern California. Together, they provided pilots, camera planes, and a small fleet of antique and historic aircraft for movie and television productions. Mantz loved restoring and rebuilding rare aircraft, such as a copy of Lindbergh's "Spirit of Saint Louis". However, Mantz and Tallman's collaboration did not last long. This panel from Blizzcon discusses the new stat called MAstery that will give you bonuses to damage, attack power, healing, and other things based on your current talents in order to improve your dps, healing, or tanking. You will see how mastery affects you similarly to how druids see feral attack power on weapons. Blizzard is getting rid of mandatory passive talents. Path of the Titans is a new system for character improvement and differentiation.

RCT3 Dogfight - Dueling Flying Coasters
WATCH IN HD! READ FIRST! This is probably the most complex coaster I have made to date. It is a dueling flying coaster called Dogfight with tracks that split and then rejoin. I used block brakes and had to reconfigure the track several times to get the timing just right. The cars get close to each other near the end of the ride but they never actually touch. In the footage of the MIG flight, near the end it looks like the F-14 car is shaking. I don't know why. I recorded it twice and it came out the same way both times so I guess I'll live with it. I know the places where the tracks split & join don't look totally realistic but I did the best I could. We have to work with what RCT3 will do. Before anyone asks, this is two different coasters where the tracks overlap in certain places. In order to do this, you have to change the game's text options. To find out how to do this, do a Google search for 'RCT3 edit text options' and you'll find several sites showing you how to do it. This is my first video as a member of Backwards Productions. Pokemon Yellow Mew Glitch
My first vid, I attempted the Mew Glitch on Pokemon Yellow version. Suprised to see I caught Mew with just one Great Ball, lol. Walkthrough: 1. You must save inside or outside the door of the entrance way to the underground path, in front of the Gambler. (Make sure you have a stock of PokeBalls, a Pokemon that knows Fly, and a sleep inducing Pokemon (optional)) 2. Walk through the door of the underground path, or walk one step south, and quickly press Start, opening the Start menu before the Gambler can get a chance to walk up towards you. Fly to Cerulean. 3. Once arriving, your Start menu is disabled. Do not worry, as after you go up the Cerulean Cape and fight the Slowpoke trainer, the Start menu will be no longer disabled. MAKE SURE THE SLOWPOKE TRAINER WALKS UP TO YOU. (otherwise, the game will freeze) 4. Fly to Lavender Town. There, you can save if you need, and then walk to the western route, heading towards Saffron. There, you will encounter Mew. Good luck!

Blue Fox - K'nex Ball Machine (One Ball, Every Path)
This video follows a single ball as it takes the 8 minute journey through every single path of Blue Fox, giving a detailed view of every function of the machine. This ball machine has 17 paths, 22000 pieces, 6 lift mechanisms (including a computerized robot arm) and 7 motors. I designed and constructed this machine over the course of over 10 months, due to a lack of free time during the school year. The ball machine is supported on a system of three giant arches, which are actually sections of the curved support for my world-record-setting K'nex looping roller coaster.
