The two would meet every evening to drink tea from the cub's samovar, which was heated on a fire of juniper twigs. As they drank their tea, the hedgehog and the bear conversed and counted the stars together. One day, the hedgehog decided to bring raspberry jam. As he went to the bear to count the stars, he passed through the woods and found a horse standing in a fog, where the hedgehog can't even see his own pink paw. He is curious as to whether the horse would drown if it went to sleep in the fog. The hedgehog decides to explore the fog.

The Fog is a 1980 horror movie directed by John Carpenter, who also co-wrote the screenplay and composed the music for the film. It stars Adrienne Barbeau, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Atkins and Janet Leigh. It tells the story of a strange, glowing fog that sweeps in over a small coastal town in California, bringing with it the vengeful ghosts of mariners who were killed in a shipwreck there exactly 100 years earlier. The Fog was Carpenter's first feature film after the success of his 1978 horror Halloween, which also starred Jamie Lee Curtis. Though not as big a success as Halloween, the film received some good reviews (with a 69% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes[1]) and was also a commercial success. A remake of the film was made in 2005. The fishing town of Antonio Bay in California is about to celebrate its centennial. Rural communities in Guatemala are using new technologies to wring water out of the air. It is called fog harvesting and it helps to overcome water shortages. Despite the lush appearances for nearly six months out of the year, Tojquia only gets a tiny amount of rainfall, making it extremely difficult to grow crops and find enough drinking water. However, that is starting to change for the indigenous Mayan communities in Tojquia who are partnering with a Canadian NGO to try and harvest the fog so that they can have drinking water year round. This low-tech and affordable technology is now being used in several countries around the world including Chile, Nepal and Yemen. The hope is that it will greatly improve the quality of life for locals and, one day, millions of others. Al Jazeera's Rachel Levin travelled to Tojquia to see how it works.

Please read everything before asking questions: Low lying fog using an irrigation hose without ice. Amazing how the lack of wind helps. Block the end of the tube with tape though so the fog only comes through the holes. Low fog doesn't have as much to do with being cold but being more dense. The reason fog chillers work is because the cold makes the fog more dense thus it's heavier then air, causing it to be low. Plugging the end of the tube causes resistance and the fog has to compact before coming out the smaller holes. Granted, there was absolutely no wind when this was filmed. Wind breaks it all. This type of tubing can be bought at home depot near the PVC section for about 10 bucks. It already has holes in it.
