Por el este limita con Asturias, separada por el río Eo y por el oeste limita con la provincia de A Coruña, separada por el río Sor. A Mariña lucense tiene una superficie de 1.660 Km2, y una población de más de 80.000 habitantes. Los concellos que la conforman son los siguientes.
