Music Industry Greed. Simple. Oh, what? You want me to now write an essay after a nearly 8 minute rant? Fine. Music should be free. Yes, I said it. Music should be free. Performance should be paid for, but the music itself... should be free. Now before you say, NorCalCorsello, what the heck are you talking about? Perhaps you should just watch the video. because I didnt get to this point right away in the video... by Chris Corsello. (Sorry, gotta get my search engine keyword in there.) Some of the topics I managed to work in to this essay on the music industry were Metallica, Napster, piracy, greed, Mtv Cribs, CD Pricing Class Action Lawsuit and the Warner Music Group. The title The Day the Music Died was inspired by a lyric from a song by Don McLean, American Pie. For Don McLean it was February 3, 1959... as he explained in 1972. Now Id like to take this opportunity to say, go check out some music that is on YOUR local music scene. Buy the bands CD while youre there.
