Artist and bartenders . The great jazz player Carl Ferris is in Fremont Street for 10 years already. Souvenirs! A great indian gift and silver yewelry store is my favorite place. Gambling, in el historic district is fun. You can feel the coins in the old slot machines here. Good luck!!

Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street - virtual tour and tourist info
A little tour of Vegas including the strip and Fremont Street, giving you an idea of what to expect if you are thinking about visiting Las Vegas. Some things to do if you would like to see Vegas but aren't so interested in gambling, like us, roughly from south to north. You can spend a full day (if not more) walking the strip and checking out the attractions, almost every hotel has something, some free, some not: - Mandalay Bay - aquarium ($). Also has large outdoor wave pool/lazy river which I believe is open to the public - Luxor: Titanic artifacts exhibit ($) - Excalibur - tram to Luxor and Mandalay bay (free), horse/dinner show - New York New York - roller coaster ($) - Treasure Island - pirate show out front (free) - Bellagio - water show in fountain out front (free) - MGM Grand - CSI interactive exhibit ($) - Paris - reproduction of Eiffel Tower (free to look at :-) - The Venetian - gondolas ($) - Circus Circus - large indoor amusement park ($) - most hotels also have some shopping. High-end shops are at Caesar's and Aria, Miracle Mile at Planet Hollywood has a good variety including Betty Page and Betsey Johnson shops. - Fremont Street - this is the "old" strip where classic casinos like Golden Nugget are located. The street is closed to traffic and there is a huge jumbotron-like roof over the whole street, putting on a light show at night. Fremont Street Experience - Las Vegas
The most obvious and largest part of the Fremont Street Experience is the Viva Vision canopy and light show. The canopy towers 90 feet above the ground and spans the length of five football fields. Featuring more than 12 million LED modules and 555000-watt sound system, the light show attracts tourists and locals alike. The first light show was broadcast in 1995. Nearly a decade later in 2004, $17 million was invested in upgrading the Viva Vision canopy. Significant improvements were made and now it has 10 times higher resolution, resulting in clearer, sharper pictures. It can also display 16.7 million color combinations. The display is so sharp, live video can be broadcast on what is the world's largest screen. Viva Vision features shows like "Lucky Vegas," celebrating the city's famous icons, "Downtown Divas," a tribute to a girls' night out and "Speed, Smoke and Spinning Wheels," which illustrates the world of fast-paced auto racing. Psychedelic shows include "The Drop," a journey through an underwater utopia filled with beautiful sea creatures and "Shag With a Twist," an animated show that features Southern California artist Josh Agle's unique artwork combining elements of "Austin Powers," "The Jetsons," tiki culture and '60s imagery. Visitors can also enjoy the patriotic show, "American Freedom" during Fourth of July. The Fremont Street Experience The overhead canopy in Fremont Street is a canopy 90 ft high at the peak and, or about 1500ft (four city blocks) in length, running from Main Street to Fourth Street. One fiftieth of the total canopy would equal the size of the worlds current largest electric sign. More than 12 million LEDs illuminate the overhead canopy, designed and engineered by LG Electronics. Within the canopy itself are 220 speakers capable of producing 550kW of sound. The whole system is called VivaVision. Strobe lights provide additional entertainment options on Disco Nights. In a master control room, technicians have only three minutes to load the show on the big screen. Eight computers intertwine the light, visual and audio systems. Cameras mounted on the actual screen transmit a live video feed to a row of LCD screens inside the control room so technicians can monitor the show. New Viva Vision shows are created each year and are rotated in and out. Fremont Street Experience Ziplines - Las Vegas, NV
The Ziplines is a new attraction in Downtown Las Vegas. It's about a 20 second ride from start to finish. Starting from a launch tower about 60 ft in the air, you fly through the Fremont Street canopy to a landing pad. It costs $15 per person for 1 ride, $25 per person for 2 rides, and $30 per person for 3 rides. It's a lot of fun. I highly recommend it.

He's on Fremont Street Wednesdays & Saturdays around 5 PM to like 1 AM over by the Glitter Gulch. & he's at Harrah's out in Carnival Court on Sundays at the same time. Find him. Buy a painting. You won't regret it. Paintings are 39 for one before tax, two for 70. (: My mom & I will spend like several hours just watching Tony paint. I think my mom is also starting a collection of Tony Vegas paintings =P

Trip to the vibrant Las Vegas Old Town (Downtown) on Fremont Street, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on Aug. 14, 2011. Fremont Street is the second most famous street in Las Vegas after The Strip. Named in honor of explorer John Charles Frémont and located in the heart of the downtown casino corridor, Fremont Street is home to many famous casinos such as Binion's Horseshoe, Eldorado Club, Fremont Hotel and Casino, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, Golden Nugget, The Mint, and the Pioneer Club. Prior to the construction of the Fremont Street Experience, the western end of Fremont Street was the picture of Las Vegas that was included in virtually every television show and movie that wanted to display the lights of Las Vegas.
