This is a session from Slovak Folklore Festival in Detva, Slovakia, recorded 24th of July, 2008. Palko Smutny (smallest guy in Slovak sheperd costume) plays here on traditional slovak sheperd instrument, fujara, with his friends from Slovakia and Germany. This video gives a demo of an ancient instrument, the fujara. It is a Slovakian instrument which sheperds played long ago. It has a fipple and is very long. I made this one from pvc pipe, and it has no fingerholes at this point. I will be working on fingerholes later. Sheryl is the producer of "The Nightmare," "The Bleeg" and "Aossidance."
