In this first of the three videos, Brad Neuberg from Google (formerly an HTML5 advocate and currently a Software Engineer on the Google Buzz team) explains why HTML5 matters - to consumers as well as developers! His overview of HTML5 included SVG/Canvas rendering, CSS transforms, app-cache, local databases, web workers, and much more. The idea behind the Seymourpowell Aircruise Concept is that it will be a floating luxury hotel that is over 800 feet tall and will float like a large balloon over cityscapes or dramatic landscapes like the watching of the migration of the wildebeests in Kenya. An ocean trip from New York to London would take 37 hours. The Seymourpowell Aircruise would accept up to 100 guests, and 10 luxury apartments would be up for grabs. The Seymourpowell Aircruise will above all be safe. Hydrogen gas will provide the lift. The airship will also be powered by solar energy plus several hydrogen fuel cells which will provide not only the motivation but also safe drinking water for the customers. This serene type of air travel will include large spaces within the craft for dining, lounging and a bar for entertainment. The crew at Seymourpowell anticipate that the Aircruise hotel could be ready as early as 2015 if the project is a go. This may be a bit pie-in-the-sky as far as how future hydrogen travel may go. A four-time All-Star and the reigning National League batting champion, Reyes is the type of player that could turn an entire team around, that is, if he stays healthy long enough to do so. Injuries have plagued Reyes throughout his career, and have cost the Mets dearly in recent years. He sat out much of the 2009 season with calf and hamstring problems and missed a considerable amount of play in 2010 and 2011. When Reyes became a free agent at the end of last season, Mets management had to decide if it was worth paying a premium for a player who could potentially land back on the disabled list in 2012. The Marlins organization, on the other hand, thinks Reyes is a gamble worth taking. The deal is part of a busy free agency period for the team, which has already acquired all-star pitcher Heath Bell, formerly of the San Diego Padres, and is said to be courting first baseman Albert Pujols of the World Series champion St. Louis Cardinals. Playing in a brand new stadium and under a new name--the team has dropped its "Florida" brand in favor of the more geographically-specific "Miami"--the Marlins hope to make a fresh start in 2012 as a championship contender. Whilst pondering ancient forgotten technology, I got a flash of insight. Sacred to Horus, a flock of falcons perched atop a field of djed. With wings outstretched they transferred life-giving energy from the air through the anch, affixed as a bearing in the top. Ever-watchful sentries, they performed the duties of scare crows, keeping harmful birds and insects away from crops, while pumping water for irrigation and climate control. Because of the down-draft like ceiling fans in operation, they pulled down faster-moving air from above, enhancing their power and bringing a cool breeze to ground level, where it was greatly enjoyed. The pyramid created a natural up-draft to balance out the flow. When not in use, the wings would fold up for easy storage and transport. Now today we have generators so they can also produce electricity. Actually, I have no proof they were used like that at all. It might be my own original design. All the better!
