Shortly after previewing her Eurovision 2012 song, crno I belo (Black and White), for FYR Macedonia, Russell Davies chatted with Kaliopi for esctoday. Kaliopi talks about the meaning behind the song and says that "everything is so simple, everything's black and white". She says it was the composer Romeo Grill's idea to combine a ballad with a rock song, and how she would prefer to sing in Macedonian, but that there is always a possibility of singing (part of the song) in English. After dedicating the three minutes of the song to her country, we are treated to an impromptu un-rehearsed piano version of the song in Macedonian and English. She also talks about her sadness and emotional and physical stress at not being able to represent her country for Eurovision in 1996, after the song Samo Ti (Only You) failed to pre-qualify. Albanian Flag Day celebrated by burning the FYROM Flag FYROMacedonian flag on fire, maps of Greater Albania, offensive cheers at the expense of FYROMacedonia. The Albanians celebrated the day of the Albanian flag in the country. The latest recording emerged yesterday that the Internet has caused great indignation among the citizens. This is a chance to step up efforts as soon as possible solution to name issue. One hour after the announcement of the verdict of the Tribunal, US Ambassador to FYROMacedonia Paul Volers and rapporteur on FYROMacedonia's EU Hovit Richard headed a message to the authorities in Skopje and Athens that we should seize the chance for a solution to the longstanding barrier, leaving behind hostile atmosphere of the courtroom. But also a clear message was that the entry of FYROMacedonia into NATO remains firmly bound to the solution of this issue. Both agree that the decision in The Hague is a good chance of FYROMacedonia and Greece to step up efforts to resolve the problem with the name issue. The US ambassador, the decision will not affect the US position regarding support for FYROMacedonia's entry into NAT0, but also will not affect any of the Alliance's position that the dispute with Greece is the only obstacle to Macedonia in achieving this goal. - America's position has not changed. The US strongly supports UN efforts to resolve this issue for the benefit of both countries. I think that NATO's position is known, and that is that as a result of the summit in Bucharest in 2008, FYROMacedonia will become a NATO member when it will resolve the name issue and it is not changed. I believe now is the time the leaders of both countries to make further efforts to resolve the issue, said Volers. MESSAGE TO FYROM Thessaloniki was, is and will remain a Greek city for eternity and small countries like FYROM with limited to non-existend military capabilities can't do anything about it. Thessaloniki is a well defended Greek macedonian coastal city, ready to repel any irredentist claim and aggression against it. Always seen with envy from its neighbours, it is a key city in the northern Aegean Sea, due to its strategical position and cultural wealth. This video is an answer to running gags and irredentist claims made by FYROM citizens. Claims like "Solun", "United Macedonia", "Aegean Part of Macedonia", etc, will be answered with the iron fist of the Greek army. FYROM has no operational airforce, no navy, no tank force, no self-propelled artillery systems.
