Katarina Boys' Choir in Sardinia S.Gavino basilik
Directed by Lars Eve Nilsson. this fantastic choir presents a classic of Biebl. The katarina Boys' choir has been founded by the same Larse Ewe Nilsson who is also the actual conductor. Currently the choir is composed by about twenty young singers who were brought up (sopranos and contraltos) during the years, and by ten adults prevalently tenor and basses. During this last period he has enriched the wonderful young voices and the musical life of the choir, starting from the scores written in English which has been of vital importance for the development of the linguistic thematics of the choir. This Swedish choir regularly participates at various religious expressions such as masses, processions and religious services such as novenas and religious chants. Every year this choir organizes a trip abroad in very important cities such as Rome, London, Paris, New York, Helsinki and more recently in Austria and at Venezia. This year the Choir has landed in Sardinia into two different locations: Porto Torres and Santu Lussurgiu. Kataraina boys' choir presents a classic repertoire which is made up of great operas but also by polyphonic choral chants and folkloristic songs of the Swedish popular and religious tradition.
