Weve just learned from our friends at slashfilm.com that the king of zombies George Romero, is currently writing an adaptation of a 2011 book The Zombie Autopsies: Secret Notebooks from the Apocalypse by Steven C. Schlozman. You guys may know Romero from "dawn of the dead", the crazies and land of the dead. The book is about shocking revelations when a group of scientists perform autopsies on zombies following a zombie apocalypse. SCARY!!!! Romero recently spoke about the adaptation and described it as an intense storyline, he said, " It's very tense and very medically correct. This guy's a doctor, it's all about being medically correct. I think about it like the first Hammer Frankenstein film, which was all about very graphic scenes of brains floating in blood and things like that. This is the extremely rare ORIGINAL full length 1978 UK theatrical trailer to George Romero's "Dawn of the Dead", which was released under the title "Zombies : Dawn of the Dead" when it first played UK theatres. This trailer is longer than the ones found on the current box set from Anchor Bay and was taken from an old trailer tape I picked up from a video fair a few years ago. NO idea where they got it from. The making of George A. Romero's Resident Evil 2 commercial, featuring Brad Renfro as Leon S. Kennedy and Adrienne Frants as Claire Redfield. Shortly before the launch of Biohazard 2, (Resident Evil 2) he was hired to write a script for a live-action trailer for that game that was to be broadcast only in Japan. He was asked to write the script for the Resident Evil films, he initially declined, stating in an interview, "I don't wanna make another film with zombies in it, and I couldn't make a movie based on something that ain't mine", although in later years he reconsidered and wrote a script for the first movie. While many were impressed with the script (which garnered positive reviews), it was eventually rejected in favor of Paul WS Anderson's treatment, this move had upset many Resident Evil fans. In 1999, Sony and Capcom greenlit a Resident Evil film with George A. Romero signed on as the film's director and screenplay writer. Romero's association with Capcom, the Resident Evil video game series creators, had extended from 1998 when Romero directed an ad campaign for Biohazard 2 (Resident Evil 2) in Japan. Romero stated in an official appearance in Universal Studio's Talk City chatroom that he had his secretary play the entire game through and record the gameplay so he could study it as a resource.
