This is our first uploaded instrumental track, and was a relatively spontaneous jam. We had done another song much like it a long time ago, but what we played here was improvised and completely on the spot. It's called Jungle Track, because, well, it sounds sort of 'jungley'. The art is, once again, by George, and each band member is represented within. Just a bit of fun to give us wings and tails and stuff. This is our first one with our new guitarist/bassist, Ed. Being an instrumental, there's no singing, so no-one is on vocals. Ehsaan and Peter were on guitars, George was on drums, and Ed was on Bass.

I was inspired to attempt this remixing task after hearing the ending track "In Search Of Hope Pt 2," the sequel interlude from the album of the same name. I dubbed this as part 3 as a continuation or extension of what we all look for, whether it be a risk or a tool for motivation. Kaidi Tatham is one of my top favorite artists/remixers making music today. If you dig Silhouette Brown and Bugz In The Attic, you'll know about "Agent K" himself. I was hooked after hearing the remix of "Zombie," from the "Red Hot & Riot" compilation in honor of Fela Kuti. As for the "In Search Of Hope" album, Tatham to me has elements of George Duke, Roy Ayers and Larry Heard mixed with his own sound. A great album, whether you call it jazz, jazz fusion or electronica. But it was always the last interlude that moved me more than the other cuts. The problem was that it was too damn short. :-) But here I am listening to the original version while watching "The Shawshank Redemption," and taking in Morgan Freeman's narrations. I felt both concentrate on the subject of hope. By me being a drum & basshead, I just knew this would be heard beautifully as a jungle track. Ideas from "The Matrix Reloaded" was a bonus and served the purpose well. Top it off with a little guitar playing and some scratching and that's all she wrote. Let me put it out there that this is not an attempt to make money or steal from any artists, producers or publications involved. This is simply for the love. My art of <b>...</b>

Shreducator? I just made that shit up.) Brigman's an outsider, and he compares favorably to other lonesome wanderers of first-wave psychedelia like Skip Spence. Unlike Spence (or Syd Barrett, to whom Spence is most often compared), however, Brigman never had a previously successful outing as a recording artist. (Also unlike those two, there is no documented history of mental illness or debilitating drug abuse, just the creation of music out-of-sync with its milieu.) There was no Moby Grape or Pink Floyd for Brigman before Jungle Rot. This was his debut, and it's savage, debauched, and remarkably assured. Briefly: the reason this album is considered a sort of lost artifact is twofold. First, Brigman recorded it and then more or less quit recording for decades after the untimely death of his bassist. Jungle Rot was released and then vanished. Second, the music on here really is pretty unique, especially in 1975. It takes proto-punk's muscular snarl and applies that aesthetic to psych-blues. The title track, which opens the album, absolutely kills, with Brigman throwing down some panning, spiky, metallic chord stabs for a bit before launching into a flat-out destructive (and fucking anthemic) riff. It sets the tone for the rest of Jungle Rot, which is essentially extremely well-executed <b>...</b>
