Ghulam - Aankhon Se Tune Kya HQ

Ghulam (Hindi: ग़ुलाम, Urdu: غلام, translation: Slave) is a 1998 Bollywood film directed by Vikram Bhatt. The film made average Box Office business. Although, not well known the movie is a direct lift of the 1954 classic On the Waterfront starring Marlon Brando. Ghulam means a warriorslave. Sidharth (Aamir Khan) is an amateur boxer who does not work, preferring to loaf about with friends. His older brother Jai (Rajit Kapoor) works with a gangster, Raunak Singh (Sharad Saxena) who rules the neighborhood, terrorising merchants and demanding protection money. As a child Sidharth idolized his father, an ex-freedom fighter, whom he saw committing suicide in guilt after a visit from an old acquaintance. This fact is something that Sidharth is in denial about for most of the plot, until it is exposed by his brother. Sidharth meets a girl, Alisha (Rani Mukerji), who rides with a motorcycle gang, and Hari, a social worker. The film tells the story of Sidharth's romance with Alisha and his reformation. Pathanay khan Sings - Khawaja Ghulam Farid * Medaa Ishaq Vi Tuoon *

Pathanay khan Sings - Khwaja Ghulm Farid ******************************** About Singer: Pathanay Khan (real name: Ghulam Muhammad; 1926 - 2000) was a great Seraiki folk singer from Pakistan. He sang mostly Kafis or Ghazals, which were largely based on the Sufi poetry of Khwaja Ghulam Farid and Shah Hussain. He was born in 1926 in the village Basti Tambu Wali, situated in the heart of the Thal Desert, several miles from Kot Addu, (Punjab, Pakistan). When he was only a few years old, his father and mother seprated. She took her son along and went to Kot Addu to stay with her father. When the boy fell seriously ill, his mother took him to a syed's house. The syed's wife looked after him, and advised his mother to change his name because it seemed too heavy for him. Her daughter commented that he looked like Pathana (in that region, a name symbolising love and valour), and so from that day onwards he was known as Pathanay Khan. His mother credited the new name for saving the child's life. Life: Pathanay Khan was very attached to his mother. She took good care of him and tried to educate him. However, he, like his father Khameesa Khan, spent his time wandering, contemplating and singing. His nature lured him away from school after the seventh standard. He began singing, mostly the Kafis of Khwaja Ghulam Farid, the saint of Bahawalpur. His first teacher was Baba Mir Khan, who taught him everything he knew. Singing alone did not earn him enough, so the young Pathanay Khan ...

Mera Koi Nahin Hai Tere Siwa - Haji Ghulam Farid Sabri & Maqbool Sabri

Mera Koi Nahin Hai Tere Siwa Vocals: Haji Ghulam Farid Sabri & Maqbool Sabri GHULAM FARID SABRI was one of the most versatile Qawwali singers of modern times and, as one of the Sabri Brothers, the first to bring this devotional music, invented by medieval Sufi poets and mystics, to audiences in the West. With his younger brother, Maqbool, he composed and performed several Indian and Pakistani film scores in the Qawwali style, had recorded hits and began the poetic embassies from the subcontinent to the expatriate Indo- Pakistani populations of the United States and Britain. He was born in 1930 in the Central Provinces of the Raj and was brought up in Gwalior. The family, which had a tradition of performance, claimed descent from Tan Sen, the court maestro of the Great Mughal, Akbar, a contemporary of Queen Elizabeth. While Akbar can claim success with uniting the Hindu and Muslim kingdoms and populations of India into one enlightened Empire, to Tan Sen redounds the credit of inventing a style of classical music. Claiming descent from Tan Sen is equivalent to saying you are descended from Mozart. But the claim is more serious, because in India the musical tradition passes like sap through a family tree. After the partition of India in 1947, Sabri's family migrated to Karachi together with thousands of other Muslims who formed in Pakistan the Mahajar community of migrants and refugees, distinct from the indigenous Sindhis, Punjabis, Baloch and Pathans. The Mahajars took ...
