Canzone vincitrice del quarto zecchino d'oro cantata da Raymond Debono di Malta. La storia di questo bimbo, come tante altre dello Zecchino, è davvero straordinaria. La riporto così come è scritta nel libro della storia dello Zecchino. -Da Malta doveva arrivare un bambino, tuttavia nella corrispondenza tra l'Antoniano e Malta nacque un po' di confusione, infatti le comunicazioni dell'Antoniano avvenivano in un inglese non proprio corretto così come d'altra parte era l'italiano di quelle di Malta. Alla fine all'Antoniano arrivarono due bambini. I responsabili dell'Antoniano discussero a lungo per decidere cosa fare di Raymond pensando dapprima di assegnargli una piccola parte in una canzone. Ma le cose dovevano andare diversamente: nel più bello delle prove uno dei bambini si ammalò. Era la prima volta che succedeva un fatto del genere. Che fare? La signorina Mariele disse: "L'unico che può farcela è Raymond". "Ma se non sa nemmeno parlare l'italiano, come può cavarsela?" "Ci penso io". Il bambino in poche ore imparò la canzone, senza capire bene le parole, imitando il movimento delle labbra della signorina Mariele. Qualcuno pensava :"Quando poi salirà sul palco e non avrà Mariele al suo fianco come se la caverà?" Ma il bimbo tenne incollato lo sguardo sulla signorina anche durante le trasmissioni, e ne seguì, come ipnotizzato, tutti i gesti e tutti i richiami. La canzone andò in finale e vinse. Quando Raymond Debono tornò a Malta fu accolto come un eroe nazionale.-
