RABBI GIMBEL'S JEWS EXPLOSION Part 6 of 6. A group of San Diego Jews, half-Jews & goyim who banded together as Rabbi Gimbel's Jews Explosion as part of the Casbah's annual 12 Days Of Christmas to celebrate the history of great music made by Jewfolk. Their 2001 set was to be their only show but the reaction was so amazing ("You did all that for ONE show?") that it made an even grander return the following year to do more shows with El Vez in San Diego and Los Angeles. Here are highlights from the 2002 farewell shows including their appearance on Fox Rox. RGJX was Adam Gimbel, Tim Peacock (Dee Snider), Matt Gagin (Slash), Sean Taugher & Davida Milkes (Paul Stanley) with special guest appearances by Marie Haddad (Linda Richman), Simon Mandel from the Displaced (video likeness courtesy Elwell Agency) and the Oliver Project. A few years after the last show, Adam was able to pass a copy of this video and an RGJX sweatshirt to Russell (Jewish) & Judah (incorrectly ID'd as Jewish in the book Jews Who Rock) from Jon Spencer Blues Explosion.
