LabVIEW is a programming language that was created in 1986 and has become very popular among engineers and scientists because it is almost entirely graphical. Graphical programming languages like LabVIEW are really great for people that don't like or don't understand text based languages like C++ or C#. You can do all of the things that a text based language can do but you don't have to worry about things like thread management or memory allocation.
