Harald Grosskopf - So Weit, So Gut
Harald Grosskopf was born on 23rd October 1949 in Hildesheim, Germany He has been the first drummer and percussionist in the world of electronic music who performed with sequencers, first with Manuel Göttschings cult space-music band ASHRA (ASH RA TEMPEL) during the Seventies as well as WALLENSTEIN, THE COSMIC COURIERS and, of course, KLAUS SCHULZE. He has released five solo albums until today, the latest one, Yeti Society was released in October 2004. Besides, he took part in more than 70 records with other artists. Apart from his own solo projects and participations in other music productions, he also realized separate band projects with friends. In the 90s, for instance, he started with Axel Manrico Heilhecker the band project SUNYA BEAT. So Weit, So Gut is from his album Synthesist from 1980!!!!!! ( in English: So Far, So Good ) This track has been the intro track of the German synthesizer radio programme Schwingungen for 10 years! Schwingungen was broadcast every Thursday from 22.00 till 00.00 on WDR radio. I used to listen to it every Thursday. Unfortunately this programme, with moderator Winfrid Trenkler ( an institute in Germany amongst electronic music fans ) was stopped in March 1995 because it was not the target group WDR was looking for in future.
