This is my project gts/daily driver. I have had this car for about 8 years and I decided it deserved some attention paid to it. It was recently painted and I my plan is to have it back to "like new" condition. It is difficult to find performance parts for this vehicle, but I do plan to add some horsepower to it in the future. 2001 Eclipse GT vs. 2004 Jetta GLI 1.8t
My best friend Chris just got his '04 Jetta GLI and we have discovered that it is a perfect match in a race with my '01 Eclipse GT. Both cars are at stock performance, and a win is almost solely determined by the amount and type of gas in the cars. I have a full tank of unleaded in these videos (can't afford premium quite yet) and chris is running a 1/4 tank of premium. In the 90-pull we get up to 120, and the 1/4 mile we finish at around 100 but continue to like 110. I've hit 145 in my Eclipse and I'm sure it won't be long before chris does the same in the Jetta.

Toyota Celica: The name "Celica" is derived from the Latin word coelica meaning "heavenly". Throughout its career the Celica has been powered by many different four cylinder engines. The Celica was first sold in a RWD until 1985, when the car's layout was changed from RWD to FWD. During the first three generations, American market Celicas were powered by various versions of Toyota's R series engines.
