However, they never had any (real) sciences of authenticity, nor do they give care for it. This is why usually their "sheikhs" dont have the Qur'aan memorized, nor hadeeths, and just reply on philosophies. Does Islam teach Muslims to kill apostates? I make a controversial statement in this video about Ahad Hadeeths. Basically I said that an Ahad Hadeeth should not be considered as "enough evidence" to put someone to death for apostasy. Using this kind of evidence alone is problematic, as we are dealing with peoples lives here. To be clear, I do accept Ahad Hadeeths but I don't consider it wise to use this kind of hadeeth as the only proof to put someone to death. Human life is important and therefore the evidence must be strong against a person to put him or her to death. Think about it, why does Islam demand four eye witnesses or a personal confession to put an adulterer to death? The answer is that Islam puts a huge amount of worth on human life, human life is sacred and it cannot be taken with any weaker form of convicting evidence. Remember the Qur'an says: "...if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole humanity: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the whole humanity..." (Qur'an 5:32). Feel free to disagree with me but I still believe in what I said in this video.
