ATI Eyefinity Challenge with HardOCP

This November, the ATI Eyefinity Challenge in Dallas, TX, hosted by AMD and HardOCP, put multi-monitor gaming to the test. Participants had the opportunity to experience "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" multiplayer on a single-monitor and three-monitor desktops powered with ATI Radeon 5800-series video cards. Other systems available to play included 6-display setup for Tom Clancy's HAWX and a 3-display setup for the GRID racing sim. Last, but certainly not least, was a wall of projection screens displaying a seamless Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 frag-fest.

Awesome $40 CPU Cooler: HardOCP's Kyle Bennett Talks ...

HardOCP's Kyle Bennett explains why air cooling your CPU is tough to beat these days, why the CoGage True Spirit is the best deal in CPU cooling (even if you overclock!) and recommends aa bargain in thermal paste... Patrick follows up on his Dry Ice cooling experiment, the successful bit, and, no, it wasn't as simple as using Koolance's CPU-LN2-V2 Liquid Nitrogen Evaporator.

RatPadzGS Video Review

A quick review of the HardOCP founder, Kyle Bennett's, RatPadzGS gaming mouse pad. All in all, this thing is great for gaming and other programs that may require fast-twitch action - in fact, it just may be the best. For precision tasks such as Photoshop, though, your typical cloth pad may be a better fit. This pad is meant for one thing, though - gaming - and it lives up to it's reason to exist perfectly. visit: www.hardocp.com for the latest in computer, tech and gadget-related news. www.hardforum.com for a great community forum based on computers and technology www.ratpadz.com

Euclideon & Unlimited Detail - Bruce Dell Interview by John Gatt

www.hardocp.com [H]ard|OCP is proud to present this full feature video, behind the scenes interview with Bruce Dell, the founder and CEO of Euclideon and the original creator Unlimited Detail technology. John Gatt interview's Bruce Dell for a full look into the past, present and future of Euclideon and the Unlimited Detail technology. The small company of only 9 people in Brisbane Australia, were in the news again in early August 2011 after having released a demo video to give their fans a one year update. This video received almost 2 million hits in the first 4 days. Euclideon are a very secretive bunch who normally decline interviews, but the public outcry for them to respond to their critics has been so great that they kindly agreed to this exclusive interview, letting [H]ard|OCP in before, they say, they must get back to work and disappear again until they have a final product.

Tech Update #115 Skyrim Day

Please excuse this delayed Tech Update, we were busy disproving 11/11/11 prophecies, doomsday allocations, binary meanings, and of course having the day off for Veteran's day. Going to kick off today's Tech Update with pretty much the only news you need to hear about today, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This game is as beastly as Logan's co-host, scoring above and beyond in every review out there to the point that if you haven't bought this game, we're assuming you have no hands and even so, get someone to buy it and play for you. In other gaming news MW3 destroys every entertainment medium in first days sales ever in a whopping 400 million sales in 24 hours. Tech news featured today involve some crazy cellphones, cyber bot nets busted up, net neutrality winning big, and a chopper using a yoga ball for landing gear. Also before the internets starts running wild in the comment's section, Maks has left the studio for bigger and better things in New York so sadly he was replaced with a Tech Savvy Yeti, we here wish him all the best. Going to start this off with video game news, it's an awesome week for video games, such as the Gears of War 3 picking up steam after launching last week, Deus EX releases their first DLC mission, PC gaming winning over console gaming, the Wii U makes an appearance, got some battlefield 3 beta footage and nvidia and AMD driver updates solely for BF3, Bethesda suing Minecraft creator case update, and Half Life 3 News. In other Tech News, we also take a look at the OCZ Z-drive review, CM Storm Trooper Case, Bachmann using Farmville in his campaign, and Apple being denied a patent. Well, by the way it's nvidia's job to do this. the resolution 1680x1050 is not my native resolution. Tessellation to 1.0(normal). 4x AF no AA. The fraps here kills lots of fps. With fraps: 19.0 fps without fraps: 24.5 Guess how much ati 5770 got? You got it: 25.9(although the level of tessellation isn't clearly mentioned)! www.hardocp.com Also I think that my processor may be slightly bottlenecking the gts 450 at this high resolution. FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED HERE ARE MORE RESULTS 1680x1050 4x AF no AA DX10- 36.2 fps 1680x1050 4x AF no AA DX11 tessellation off - 36.4 fps 1280x1050 8x AF 16x AA DX11 tessellation normal - 19.8 fps 1280x1050 8x AF 16x AA DX11 tessellation off - 29.6 fps I guess this sums up the performance of this card in heaven benchmark.....
