Olivia LaRosa was born with hearing impairment. From the moment she began making babbling sounds, her parents brought her to Cincinnati Children's for treatment. Early interventions with hearing aids and speech therapy worked. Her case is an example of why the state passed a law to screen every baby's hearing, something that was not routine 18 years ago.
