This is a stock 04 Coupe that was stripped it down to a bare cab and repainted in Reventon matte grey. Added was a 2011 LP570 style front bumper, 2011 tail lights and top quarter panels, carbon fiber Superleggera wing, engine bonnet, diffuser and mirrors. Custom center lock HRE wheels built custom for this car, alcantara suede diamond stitch interior, and last but not least we added the satin black Heffner twin turbo system to give it 650 all wheel horsepower equaling close to 900 horsepower! As of August 2009 we have tuned the car up to 1 bar of boost which resulted in just over 1100 RWHP. For now we are playing around with the car at various boost levels and documenting the differences in performance with our trusty V Box. In 90 degree heat the car pulled off a 5.10 second 60-130 at around 950 RWHP. For reference a stock 580 horsepower Murcielago takes around 9.5 seconds to make the leap from 60 to 130. With a little more boost it will dip into the 4 second range for sure. The Heffner Twin Turbo Murcielago is an absolute blast to drive and sounds like nothing we have ever heard. Ray Hofman, President and CEO of Peak Completions from Midland Texas, piloted his 2006 Ford GT to a top speed of 266.9 miles per hour from a standing start in the measured mile at the Florida Exotics Event held at the Dade-Collier Airport in Florida. The Yellow Ford GT was equipped with its standard 6-speed manual transmission, stock engine block and heads, and its original stock body with no aerodynamic modifications other than removing the rear view mirrors. Performance modifications to the Hofman Motorsports Ford GT included twin turbo-chargers installed by Jason Heffner of Heffner Performance, engine internal work by John Mihovetz-President of Accufab Racing, and tuning/electrical work by Naoto and Brian Sakata of Sakata Motorsports. Traveling over 1/3 the speed of sound in a street legal car equipped with air conditioning, power windows and locks, and a great stereo, was unimaginable just a few years ago. The Ford GT is very aerodynamically efficient, just 44 inches tall, and built with race proven components. It was designed to be stable at speeds over 200 mph. Hofmans record setting run was made into a direct 18 mph headwind, on a day with both high temperatures and high humidity. Even higher speeds are anticipated at future events in better conditions as a lot of improvements are planned for Hofmans Ford GT.

We were cruising to a Lambo vs Ferrari meet in woodland hills when a Gallardo comes up. Didn't catch the Gallardo spankin the 360 on video, but had a small clip of the Gallardo spanking the Viper. We then saw him at the meet and realized he had a Heffner Twin Turbo set up pushing over 800 HP or so.

We are pleased to offer this '96 Viper GTS Coupe you see here. But make no mistake, this is not your average Viper. This BEAST is powered by its 8.0L (488CI) V10 which was modified by the masterminds of forced induction systems at Heffner Performance and features a custom twin-turbo setup. The end result is a machine putting out nearly 1000HP (950HP and 895 lb-ft torque @ 15psi). This car was built with one thing in mind... SPEED and it does just that. Best quarter mile by its current owner was done at 10.7 sec @ 141mph. 6 speed manual transmission with an MGW short throw shifter. Richard Douglas Heffner (born August 5, 1925) is the creator and host of The Open Mind, a public affairs television show first broadcast in 1956. He is a University Professor of Communications and Public Policy at Rutgers University and also teaches an honors seminar at New York University. He is the author of A Documentary History of the United States, a verbatim anthology of important public documents in American history, among them the Declaration of Independence, the Gettysburg Address and Martin Luther King's Letter from a Birmingham Jail. He is also the editor of Democracy in America by Alexis de Tocqueville. Heffner collaborated with Nobel Peace Prize winner Elie Wiesel on the publication of Conversations With Elie Wiesel, released by Schochen books in 2001. A protegé of Edward R. Murrow, Heffner helped establish public television (what is now called WNET Channel 13) in New York City and was its first general manager, from 1961 to 1963. From 1974 to 1994 Heffner was chairman of the Classification and Rating Administration (CARA) of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).[1] He has also worked for CBS under the late Richard Salant. Heffner received his BA (1946) and MA (1947) degrees in history from Columbia University. Heffner teaches two courses at Rutgers University.
