Argus (Theraphosa blondi) usually likes mice, but, for some reason, he got very defensive when I put one in his cage this time. This is the first time he has ever got in defensive posture, so I used the opportunity to make a video. He looks stressed so I wont do this again. I also feed him Hissing Cockroaches.

Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches
Finally got around to making a video of my hissers :) I've had these g. portentosa hissers for several years. There are many species of hissing cockroach. I also have some g. oblongonata (check out my other vids!) The females are pretty chill, as you can see... but the males (the ones with "horns") hiss at me and ram into my finger :) Contrary to what you may hear or read, the females DO hiss, as well. The last one I handle is my favorite, Igor. He rarely hisses anymore, he's so used to being handled by me. I love my roaches. I won't hesitate to use the block/delete comment functions if you're rude, obnoxious or flat-out ignorant in your comment. Fair warning! Also, sorry for the cartoons and fish tank noise in the background.

Savannah Cats play growling and hissing
My 2 Savannah Cats, F5 Mercury who is silver and 5 months old in this video and F3 Nikon who is 3 months in this video playing tug o' war all the while hissing and growling! They are serious about playing with feathers! The feathers must illicit a predatory response cause no other toy they play with gets these kind of growls and hissing. At the end you will see the two purring and loving the petting they are getting, 5 minutes after the playing was done! Nap time. This growling and hissing can sound intimidating, but at mo time is directed at anyone, just the feathers! Lol!
