This video shows the setting-up of a simple vinyl cutter. As a music/vinyl lover a real cutter was in my dreams but it was too expensive. This one has been made mainly from "trash" (old loudspeakers, hardware etc.). I used CDs as "blanks". The black ones really resemble a real record! The second part of the movie contains the audio from these "records" played with a portable turntable. In this video, I will show you how to make your own filter adapter ring for the Sony HX1 camera. This project requires some custom work but it's also very cheap to make. You will need a 55-58mm step up ring. You can find one on Ebay at around $2 USD. I also purchased a 58mm UV filter to put on the adapter ring. This filter I also purchased on Ebay for $2. The custom part of the project is to glue a thin piece of rubber to the inside of the step up ring. This serves 2 purpose. One is to fill in the gap and the other is to allow the step up ring to fit snug to the Sony lens. With the rubber piece I used, I was able to use sand paper to sand it down to the correct diameter.
