For a project for my FPS class, I decided to make three more episodes of "Hope is Emo". (The assignment was simply, "Be creative.") I borrowed the character Hope from the original "Hope is Emo" (watch it at hopeisemo.com; they're much better than mine). I've become very fond of the character Hope; she's kind of my alter ego now. Often something will occur and I'll think, "This would really cause Hope to suffer." Most of the events in these videos that Hope talks about actually were inspired by real-life events. I just filmed how I thought she would react to them. There are three episodes: Defective, Pennies, and Stunted. This is Episode 2-- Pennies. If you like it, watch Episode 1-- Defective and Episode 3-- Stunted. They all kind of tie in together. Special thanks to: Ms. Thomas, for the use of her ficus; Alison, JohnE, and my mom, for their important roles; everyone who gave me advice on emo makeup and hair; everyone (especially Aira) who cheered me up and made it hard for me to film accurately; everyone who made me feel sad even accidentally enabling me to film accurately; Rodd, for ...
