Slipping punches is one of those boxing techniques that offers a world of opportunity in terms of capitalizing on the openings created. By definition, when you as a boxer successfully slip a shot, you are within range to land any of a battery of your own shots. By continually slipping punches, ducking punches and rolling (or bobbing and weaving) during a boxing match, it has the effect of making it very difficult for an opponent to target your head and also acts as a feint or diversion, which applies a constant level of pressure to the opponent during the contest. It would be easy to consider slipping punches to be a reaction to a shot, as opposed to a proactive measure to control an opponent. It's very unwise to wait for a shot to come in order to effectively slip it. Unless your opponent has ludicrously slow hand speed, then the laws of physics are very much against you! Slipping punches should be used in conjunction with other skill elements, this approach will maximise the successes generated. When referring to slipping punches, I talk about slipping 'inside' and slipping 'outside'. The band or the label? Well, the band's latest "In10sity" release saw nothing less than the quintet's familiar style. And it's vocalist Dave Readman going solo now, with an album as expected to be, and really acts as desired by the label's profile without omitting his band's ideals. OK, Dave (ex-ADAGIO) was clever enough to let PC69 members out of the playing team. But - on the other hand - when you choose Dennis Ward (PINK CREAM 69 bassist & songwriter) to handle the production of your first solo album, then it' obvious the spirit will float all around. For those having heard him in the ANDERSEN/LAINE/READMAN 2006 project (I haven't), conclusions or comparisons may (or not) be more specific or-down-to-earth. For me, admiring this vocalist all the way in his 13-year career with 'das Pinkies', by listening to the album for a couple of times, things did start getting clear enough. Jacobean Double Plaited Braid Stitch - Hand Embroidery instructional video. Although I am a left-handed stitcher, you can see from this video the important stages in the construction of the stitch, crucially how to begin the stitch, how to look for the 'cross shape of the previous half of the stitch and how to keep the working thread out of the way while you locate the two lower 'feet' of the previous stitch to keep the woven surface structure of this classic design, in what appears to be 2 adjascent rows of 'purl stitches'. I've been promising on my blog to upload this film for ages. Hope its clear, you like it and its not too long.. Comments welcome. Remember, its actually a fast stitch to work and interesting plus it works well round curves. You can see examples of it produced in gold thread at the V&A Museum in London on Elizabethan sweetbags.
